Hey guys I'm just posting this as a warning to anyone who has, or who intends to buy the Nyko Intercooler. I bought one a while back and had no immediate problems with it... but after a while I noticed the flashing red ring of light appeared a little too frequently for my liking. Usually though, turning the 360 off and then on again fixed the problem, but one day I returned home to find the red ring of death on (the constant red ring wich basically means your machine is F**KED!). Straight away I thought to remove the intercooler hoping that the situation would fix itself. I tried to unclip it but realised it was stuck pretty fast and the only way to get it off was to force it. When I finally prized it off I found that it had MELTED INTO THE POWER PORT!! There were big burn markes on it and my xbox was destroyed. Luckily my 360 was still under warranty so I took it back without the intercooler on it and they gave me a new one (Phew!). I tried to contact Nyko about this possible danger but they've just blanked me.
Bare in mind also that my xbox was not in any enclosed place - it was out in the open air, plus I live in England so its not exactly swelteringly hot here!!
Im just warning you guys because this could have caused an electrical fire which is pretty damn worring if you ask me! Anyway I have pictures as proof if theres anyone who doesnt belive me... I can assure you they are real!
Just be careful fellas - hopefully this'll save a few peeps from melted 360s

Bro POP....takla terer mana...which one? The casing mod or fan mod? That casing one can't dola... don't have the tools (dramel/rotary tool) to do the cut. That fan canla...
For case modding better go to the person Ah_chak recommeded...get a professional to do the job.
Bro Djinn...for fan mods tak mahalla...It's just a bit of cutting( absolutely no cut if using 40mm fan) and soldering.
The absolute satisfaction is if we can get to cool down the GPU heatsink. This one damn hot, can't even touch with your bare finger.
I did some experiment, as usual the case fan will do the job. But there's not much space for it to sit on top of the heatsink since the space remaining between DVD drive and heatsink is minimal.
I got a solution, using CPU fan blower from PStwo. This one fit enough for 2 PStwo CPU fan blower sit between GPU heatsink and Memory slot. This time it'll not sit on top of the heatsink. See I've sacrifice one old PS2 and two PStwo to save or prolong the life of one Xbox360

.
The only thing that stop me right now is to find an alternative power point on 360's mainboard. I'm looking for 8v power point. There's 5v and 12v available and to use it I have to make a simple add-on component to raise or down the volt. It just my theory, anyway I hate to do the calculation and forget most of the formula

, hence its have been long time being a electronic nerd and now become a designer
