i might have short term solution...today i kinda have crazy idea...since i already open up my 360 (but cant take out heatsink coz i don have right screwdriver) so been thinking why don i use normal fan to cold it down lol..(yeah u know table fan) then i 'tembak" (put it) it right above that heatsink CPU (cannot put on GPU since dvd-rom blocking it) well turn it on..can play like 10-15 mins lol..wow surprise...then its started to freeze again...then i off and put fan more to right..meaning i put on the side of that heatsink..full speed..then play PGR3 (normally i managed to play like 5 mins...then i keep on play..play..wow already 1 and half hour...till 2 hours then switch it off..kinda tired..just now i played PDZ till operation 5 non-stop..more than 2 hours..non-stop hmmm...strange..

i have photo to show it to u guys if u cant imagine what it look like..sorry picture kinda blur i dont have digital cam only webcam..later on try to play..more than 3 hours..heheh already 12 midnite..luckily tomorow off day for me..wish me luck

Well.. for the time being... I think my problem was solved by changing the power brick... thx goodspeed!!!!

But.... now my 360 seems to be quiet... too quiet!!! & it will be real heat up after on for 2-3 hours....even though in aircond room...scary...scary... blink.gif
*
mmm.. did you put ur hand behind and see if the fan is blowing ???

i think it's best if you try with another power brick and see if it's the same quietness you get... if not i think u better stop and let me know asap smile.gif

im using 500w stepdown.. is urs the same ?

oh ya ke..dunno that..aku pun ingat nak pakai arctic silver 5 tu tapi so far okay plak my 360 wont freeze anymore..yesterday (i mean today morning) played like 4 hours PGR3 okay..then played PDZ still okay...heatsink also not so hot...i remember if my 360 freeze heatsink will be hot like reactor..lol.. notworthy.gif

maybe instead of using table fan wanna try this "Power Cooling System Vertical Stand" fan..since it will 'tembak' air from side of that heatsink... icon_rolleyes.gif

An alternative if you don't want to spend on overprice High Speed Air Cooler. My 2 cent opinion, this is much more better because it'll cool down the heat sink first like normal computer's CPU cooling unit does. And the rest of hot air being suck out with the stock Xbox360 fan.

Instead of table fan, why don't you get a 60mm x 60mm x 10mm fan to cool down your 'nuclear reactor' tongue.gif ? But you've to do a bit of cutting job to let it fit to your heatsink.

My work...using an old PS2 fan.

You'll find it hard to get these 60mm nowadays. Most of the shops sell 80mm to 120mm at Lowyat Plaza. The only way you can get this is from HDD cooler.

This one is alumunium, get the plactic one.

You can use 40mm (old pentium CPU cooler or chipset cooler) fan if you hate the cutting job.

An example how to fit 40mm to heatsink. BTW, I admire his mods rclxms.gif
