Hey all,

Do you know if Sony's mobile have international warranty. Got a fren who is in Japan and he wanted to get one from there. He's coming back for good at the end of the year.

All mobile phones don't have international warranty. If there is, it means destruction to local market

I quite agree that our phone is lack/slow support compare to other brand especially samsung.
Probably our phone is less popular than them, and also more developers on their side.

My old xperia s, flagship of 2012, is still not having nearly bug free / nearly perfect rom for kitkat.
While my uncle's galaxy s1, is having a more stable rom.
*
Q2 Sony phone has not been very popular nor has huge user compared to its Q1 devices. same as arc s, xv,xt,z1 and now z3. Nor Sony support their Q2 devices long too.

Despite this is still get the z3 because of it excellent battery live. And really really sexy design.

Yes. I got it from directD for RM2149 with a free dock. But the dock doesn't work so well with the Z3 since it was designed for Z1. I opened up the casing and now I have a magnetic charger instead.

1st Sim is 4G and 2nd Sim is 2G

Hi there, is the Z3 Dual's LTE hot swappable (on settings) between the 2 sims? Or its like those China/Koeran phone fixed sim slot have to manual swap sim to use LTE? Was using Moto G dual and like the swappable HSDPA+ so was wondering this is the same. Thanks!

support as in?
by apps, did you mean placing it in the Android folder?
*
Support in terms of rooting, mod kernel, customs rom and etc. I guess Sony need to take same step as Samsung by becoming friendly with rom dev to make the phone into mainstream. No argument Sony is more proactive in providing firmwares update compare to Samsung. So thumps up for Sony on this department.

I used to categorise apps I've downloaded and put it in folder on home screen so on diner have to browse through apps drawer every time. It's kinda hard on Z3, I don't know maybe just issue on my unit.

PS: how to utilise 20mp on camera. I used superior auto and never manage get 20mp, sometimes just 8mp and sometimes 9mp but never 20mp as advertised. The setting is too simple.

Root exploit has yet to be found as the only way to root is unlock bootloader.

For apps, you can simply add to home screen by just drag and drop.

Yup I know tap-hold-drag-drop but in my case the folder keep slide away whenever I want to drop apps into it.

Stay to the icon. I tried and it's simple.

For utilising 20MP, you have to use manual settings. Superior auto only utilize 8MP.

Since you got both, I wanna ask.. how does the z3 camera compare to fruitphone? tongue.gif Actual photos/usage, not paper specs.
*
The fruitphone 6 pawns the z3 at being much better and quicker in autofocus and excels in lowlight conditions. I'm afraid the only advantage the z3 has over the fruitphone is at better photo details when picture opened on large screens ie desktop or laptop.
Overall the fruitphones' camera pawns the z3 even though with a much lower megapixel camera.

If picture taking is your main priority, I would suggest you go for the fruitphone. The shutter speed and autofocus on the fruitphone is just superb. Sorry z3 fans.

However you cant impress your friends by bringing the fruitphone to the pool like the z3. brows.gif

Now i know why charging using magnetic cable was either decreasing or not charging at all.
The contacts of both on the cable & phone was dirty. Cleaned with cotton buds, now charging normally.

Oh really? Didn't notice that. Will contact him soon smile.gif

P.S: wanted to buy the wireless charging dock but due to the price, I opted to get a normal charging dock which I just bought from Apis the moderator for only 99! Not sure if it's a good deal smile.gif
