Guys, i have minor problem.
My whatsapp notification sometimes no sound, even if i put the volume on full.
Weirdly it only happened to whatsapp.



Anyone have any idea? Is it the speakers?

Sometimes the sound wont come out.
Especially when only 1 whatsapp msg received, but when the 2nd msg, the sound start to come.

It is checked.
I received notifications but no sound.
I use custom sound, a .ogg file. Does it have to do with sound format? Does it have to be .mp3 or .wav?

I read somewhere resetting the phone could solve the problem.

Sorry for my ignorance, I'm still new with Sony devices, been with Samsung before.

Same problem.
I did these things already :
1. Switched off my phone using the "off" yellow button inside the simcard holder.
2. Restart a lot of times, it's a temporary solution, but after awhile same prob came back.
3. In whatsapp, selected none then my selected sound back.

I've yet to reinstall whatsapp and reset the phone.

Well guys, my problem came back.

Bare with me while explain in details.

Only happens with whatsapp (or maybe other messaging app).
When one message comes in, no notification sound can be heard, only when the 2nd message onward, the notification sound starts to come.
But that also wasn't the case. Sometimes no sound at all even multiple messages coming in.

I've to restart the phone in order for it to work properly.
I'm out of ideas already. To say the speakers not working, it works brilliantly! Very nice sound.


Tried reinstall whatsapp, but to no success.
Should i factory reset? I hoped to avoid this, but if there's no other solution, i might do it.

Where's the "Notify when screen off" option?

Yeah. I know about that. But this is individual contact.
It's working normal now but when i turn the volume all the way down or put the phone in vibrate mode only, then i turn the volume back up, that's when the problem comes back.

I couldn't find the option in the app.

Yeah. I bought the magnetic charger but either my phone's something wrong or the cable, the charging was inconsistent. On/off. Weird cause i bought it from Sony OU.
