QUOTE(versey @ Sep 4 2014, 01:21 PM) Looking at some youtube video, Edge has some useful usage such as display notification, weather, date and time when the phone is locked mode. I think the edge is still too new. wouldn't get it.I got the note 12" earlier this year and when have problem go to samsung website to find support, the device is not even listed. so better think twice when getting some thing that is out of ordinary |

QUOTE(navilink @ Sep 4 2014, 03:24 PM) if you got follow erica griffin review, when compare s5 (snapdragon 805 2k screen) prime with normal s5 (snapdragon 801 1080p) and lg g3 (snapdragon 805 2k screen)prime with normal g3 (snapdragon 801 2k screen) the s5 prime has identical battery life with normal s5, and smoother. while the battery life on g3 still suck. amoled suitable for 2k screen, doesnt drain much battery and much brighter. thats what she said. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCpcEtokiJ0...V3A0Km_quJiUaeQ |

If Samsung dare to claim the Note4 battery life is 7.5% better , at worst it should be similar to Note3. If not this will backfire on them later .
We will know with users getting the handsets when available |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 4 2014, 02:50 PM) finally someone started this N4 thread... I think I'll go for Edge if ever SME release it over here. Will take Note 4 if I think it's nothing useful to me.for me... no brainer. if want something that people will talk about... edge. but if want something that is practical, note4. taken from the OnePlus One thread, my opinion on edge: |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Sep 4 2014, 02:28 PM) future, more will be fast charging capable. u're right about this.. last few weeks, radio keep repeating this info in the morning... Worthy to note that the fast charging is 0~50% in 30mins whereas for Oppo Find 7/7a, it is 0~75% in 30mins. honestly, i tot battery maker will make a long lasting battery for smartphone, but instead faster charging... lol... imo, fast charging not reli important.... i rather have longer battery life QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 4 2014, 02:39 PM) Wonder how big is Samsung charger head? Oppo unit is big and average 50%-80% bigger than most other phone XDA Forums Added for the Note 4, Note Edge, Xperia Z3, Smartwatch 3, and More! http://goo.gl/htj9Yt |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Sep 4 2014, 04:51 PM) QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 4 2014, 02:52 PM) i read one article... the writer spoke briefly and unofficially with Samsung staff, seems using Qualcomm QuickCharge (technology) compatible chargers will also work and give similar results. From: http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/03/samsung...ote-4-hands-on/samsung said available in Oct... i guess for Malaysia, maybe end Nov to Dec... The charger at least comes with fast-charging capability and the phone maker claims that the battery will charge 30 percent faster when you use the charger that comes in the box. I clarified with Samsung that it chose a proprietary solution instead of licensing Qualcomm's QuickCharge tech, but it insisted that you could still use QuickCharge 2.0-compatible chargers to achieve the same results. benny888 |
