seems like there's a thread for Note Edge with different TS.
We only manage V18 with Note 3 before Note 4 was announced.
Seems like Note 4 will not match V18 before the next Note 5 sweat.gif
*
because note 3 not many people use custom rom?

usually most discussion is on problem or bugs faced for custom roms.
flashaholic like me also just stick with stock rom, any extra stuff i wan can achieve by using xposed framework.

android L is developer preview, not release yet.
even nexus device havent get it. how u expect new phone to ship with it?

but it is 100% guarantee that note 4 will get that update when it's ready

Cos everybody is afraid of the knox crap.
Samsung is the biggest Android users at the moment. I was kinda hoping they would be able to release Android L.
*
not really, i already root on the first day and knox tripped already. but i still use the stock rom.
why go for aosp cusrom rom? barely any speed improvement, and ladded with small but unnecessary bugs.

and benny said knox tripped also can successfully claim warranty, the workers never check also.

Note 4 2K vs Note 3 1080.. but battery just increase 20mAh.. hmmm good luck samsung..
*
if you got follow erica griffin review,

when compare s5 (snapdragon 805 2k screen) prime with normal s5 (snapdragon 801 1080p)
and lg g3 (snapdragon 805 2k screen)prime with normal g3 (snapdragon 801 2k screen)

the s5 prime has identical battery life with normal s5, and smoother.
while the battery life on g3 still suck.

amoled suitable for 2k screen, doesnt drain much battery and much brighter.
thats what she said. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCpcEtokiJ0...V3A0Km_quJiUaeQ

The transfer speed on USB 3 of my ex Note3  to another USB 3 port on my Vaio notebook is approximately 10x faster vs USB2 on phone  to notebook USB2
There is no significant increase in charging speed n Samsung had said that when Note3 was released
*
I know about USB 3 but I also feel it's not really useful.

My desktop have USB 3 port at the back. I tried with hard disk using USB 3. The transfer speed indeed cn go above 100MBps. So my cable and port is confirm working.

I seldom transfer big big files. Usually jz transfer 720p movies about 1.4GB like that. The progress bar never show transfer speed. So I count the file size and devide time to get transfer speed. On USB 2 is around 30+MBps. If I use USB 3 about 50+ MBps.

So to transfer a 1.4GB file the difference is just 20 seconds. For me not worth the trouble stretch my head and hand behind the desktop to find the blue USB port and pull down the media option on the phone to select USB 3 option.

Thanks for sharing, when back home will put in 1st page
But I wonder why note 4 doesn't support 128gb microsd shakehead.gif
*
Sgs2 official in spec sheet say support up to 32gb micro sd,
But I've used 64gb with no issue at all.

I think there is no limitation. Just put in and use.

u will miss this:

htc one m8 = dual stereo frontal speakers

vs

note 4 = single mono back speaker
*
lose some, gain some.

minus front stereo speaker

gain ois 16MP camera, 5.7in 2k amoled screen, Spen, better battery life, fast charging,

overall seems gain more than lost to me, good trade

Yeah , ppl, shld just stick wt note 3. Cheaper. Got USB 3.0 some more.

usb3 isnt that practical and useful.
when you plug into a usb3 port, it dont instantly recognize it.
you need to pull down notification tray, tap the storage icon and change to usb3.

secondly, usb3 only works in internal storage which is 32GB, about 25GB usable

let's assume the extreme case. your phone is empty and you wana transfer a 25GB file inside.
time taken for USB2 (30MBps) is 13.8 minutes
time taken for USB3 (60MBps) is 6.9 minutes

so the maximum time you can actually save is 7 minutes for a 25GB file. (best case scenerio)
let's say your file is just 1.4GB, the time you save is just 23 seconds if you use usb3 instead of usb3.

take a look at this table, look at all the scenerio given, usb3 differs very little. as i mentioned, time saved will be less than 7 minutes

It's a good news, many manufacture is pushing update quite fast now ever since HTC.

Actually oppo is still launching phones with 4.3
And xiaomi just only going to push 4.4 while the world is waiting for L

I guess China brand abit lazy in terms of software.

Majority of Find 7 users are on CM or other custom roms w Android 4.4.4 already. Their default ColorOS firmware is unattractive. Rooting n installing custom rom will not void warranty
*
Cm is never 100% hug free on any phone. Except maybe Nexus and one plus

Definitely will have some hardware not working or software glitches.
Stick to whatever firmware the phone comes with or buy a phone that comes with your desired firmware.

Sorry to dissapoint you; CM 11 working very fine on my Find 7 without a single bug since build 4 Aug till now !! I had never faced those so called bugs reported by some users only
*
Hm... Indeed the known issues page for find 7a is blank.
That's good.
