Nothing much to expect already. Look at z3. Or even xiaomi mi4.

For all the premium class phone, it is nothing much to change on the exterior look except gold plated the whole phone to make shine in front of rest of the phone under the sun. Putting aluminium casing is now standard requirement for premium appearance of phone.

For NoteEdge, I will try the software and user interface first when launch in Malaysia. I am not looking at Note4, but Note Edge. What is the point to have Note 4 over Note 3? The shade is almost identical even button, dimensions, position of lens and flash. Once you put on the casing, no one will realize your aluminium casing anymore. Note edge is different.. the curved display probably will give woow...effect. If the S Pen feature and functionality are still the same, what is the driver for changing.....

Vivo Xplay 3S is your cup of tea, I supposed. I did not say by adding aluminium frame is not a good move by Samsung, but it is only slightly differentiated with previous Note series. Compare with very much low price China high end like Oppo, Vivo, that premiumization is nothing. In order to justify for high price, improvement on Audio (hardware and software),Video (hardware and software) and Camera should also be treated equally important.But only the enhancement on SPen functionality is encouraging,that all.

I would say, for first Note user, Note4 is just perfect, but for myself using Note series since Note1, I expected more....

that's why it was hugely dissapointing that the price remains the same. if samseng had a brain, they must lower the price in order to compete against the china brands.

other than the metal trim, they shld add front stereo speakers, water/dust proof, etc.

note 4 is strictly for samseng-fags. note edge is something different. let's see whether got sell in malaysia.

Well, guess we'll just have to wait for reviewers like MKBHD, PhoneArena, AndroidAuthority & EricaGriffin to received their N4 to review it.

There are always haters of Samsung phones. Whenever a new model is released I often see all the "dislike" comments. In previous S5 and Note 3 many complained why no metal finishing ? Now there is , still complains why not fully metalled ? All other phone manufacturers mostly tried to keep their design signature so that it can be easily recognisable as their own brand
Samsung had theirs too - is either one love or hate it...no point keep talking why it had remained so . What about Sony Xperia, iPhone, HTC, LG series - each model upgrades too quite similar in outlook. I rarely see users complain about them. So Samsung "haters" please tone down. I am not a diehard Samsung fan but we should respect their wishes how they wish to design their phones. If one doesn't like it, just stay away buying it

well said benny, whether they love it or hate it, Samsung still stay as the most relevant smarthpone maker at least on the android platform, their flagships are best all rounder performer in everything from specifications to features to software or firmware. I was a HTC fan before the Note2 era, i always hated Samsung, but i jumped because like it or not, the major reason for the jump are the specifications and features and innovations always offered by Samsung, and they are the most frequent and fastest in firmware update, and they have the largest devs support in xda. of course, there are new player in the market recently such as the Oppo and xiaomi, i hated miui, as much as i liked the Oppo but look at the ColorOS updates and xda dev support, very disappointing. this is just my honest humble opinion.

Worse , some of these "haters" already declared the phone as DOA already !!
At least based on what I have read on several websites/video reviews are mostly positive on this Note 4 vs say previous S5
I will never comment on how good/bad a smartphone is until I have personally experienced it
But we do have a lot of smart alecks here throwing comments as if they are experts already without even touching the phone yet

doesnt matter, i will still buy by taking up a plan with maxis with a discount from RRP. and it will still be the cheapest price even after 6months down the road like my note3.

feel like putting my name in the waiting list at samsung outlets ... but the price worries me ... would it be rm 2500 or rm 3500? from the first few pages seems like converting euro 799 to MYR is not entirely true but it should be usd 799 instead? the reason why euro country is more expensive is due to tax on the phone. please enlighten me on this plan to go this weekend to get my name on the waiting list

I also don't understand why so many complains here.....I personally think that Note 4 is excellent......

Euro prices cannot be used as a gauge as it includes up to 20% VAT
If Samsung is smart and want to at least maintain their market share and in view of growing competition of lower priced China makes, they had better at least stick to previous Note 3 pricing range
Why bother to book now without even knowing the actual pricing.
It is not like iPhone where a week before some crazy guys already lining up to buy !!

I think RM2,399 or RM 2,499 would be the base price for a flagship here in Malaysia, for the non-China brand phones. Any more than that is a huge risk, considering how quickly Android phones drop in value

not sure whether the sales person from samsung outlet is bs'ing me, she mentioned that the waiting list for note 4 is already piling up.

anyway just wanna make sure i get my phone earlier.

not going to queue up macam iphone launch la ...

still, kudos to samsung because of the changeable battery.

and, the design remains the same which has no effect on me.

easy... ppl complain because its always easy to whine. ask them what they want (like below) and...

yes, very good Q. honestly, many here complain for the sake of complaining. when asked what they want... they really don't know. or perhaps what they want isn't something technically feasible or possible... like maybe put a 5.7" screen into a 4.7" body, or want a 5.7" phone that lasts a week and can read mind, make coffee, etc...

seriously, if they look at what is currently available (the technology) they should realise there's nothing much at the moment but just incremental. we've reached the stage of maturity similar to the PC (till the next bit tech comes along to change things). we can only expect perhaps lower prices (then again, with GST, etc... flat chance).

We should appreciate Samsung because they are working hard on innovation....Don't forget Note 4 still a best phablet in the market...Those haters maybe want a 3D Holographic Note 4...
