Switching INTRA, ie same Fund House, to bond, or cash fund, or any lower volatility fund, will enable you to INTRA switch back to equity funds with no sales charge in future.

Unless, as I mentioned, the same Fund House does not have an option you are comfortable with, meaning you then choose CMF. And pay the sales charge AGAIN when you buy the same equity funds.

I checked Lee Sook Yee wub.gif fund holding by looking at its 31/10/2014 Fund Fact Sheet and the fund has cash holding of around 23%, which is high for an equity fund. At the bottom of the page, at the fund manager commentary section, it says that the fund manager strategy is to buy on dips and on weakness opportunity.

Hence, with a 23% cash holding, the fund has ample opportunity to do just that. Contrast that with Chen Fan Fai's fund, they are holding cash around 18%.

Also, note that the 3-year average Standard Deviation of Lee Sook Yee wub.gif fund is 8.9%, which is classify as moderate.

I believe, this fund will bounce back when market recovers.

Xuzen

p/s note that cash or more correctly termed money market fund gives around 3.3 to 3.4% p.a. nowadays. So, 25% x 3.4% = 0.85% is already a given risk free gain in the fund at this moment in time.
