QUOTE(KrisMas @ Sep 30 2014, 03:49 PM) I don't recommend CQuartz....a PITA to apply, especially if you're new to coating. CQuartz UK is ok but not CQuartz. PITA to apply? Geez.. never read anywhere about that.. unless i missed out in AG.. Thanks masterQUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Sep 30 2014, 03:52 PM) 30ml can. Yes my first time.. and it was not for me.. it meant for my friend who seek my help to detail his car.. if 30ml can cover his evo10 then i might get it.. if 2 then i might consider OCoat.. Thanks masterBut I guess this your first time with paint coating, so just buy and try first.(Yes, I know it may be expensive). QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Sep 30 2014, 05:05 PM) CQUK to go. Last time I was lucky to get it BOGO from Autogeek. Sold off all 3 packs in a flash, kept 1 to try. U mean apply coating using suede cloth? Just like we wipe our monitor lcd screen? Anywhere i can get CQUK locally? But man... I don't like the application process. But then, the CarPro suede application method is good if not the best, I used it to apply whatever coating till now. |

In dilemma right now.. Need further advise..
Currently am doing polishing and most of the time using makita it created hologram. Thus time consuming as I need to change pad and apply another product even for normal polishing.. Now was thinking to buy DA for 1 step polishing process. Budget wise I have no issue but if possible I'm trying to eliminate over spending over something that I able to achieve even using cheaper DA. choices that I have right now : Rupes 15 and Ultramate Why I want DA: 1 step polishing - To achieve gloss with 1 machine for non scratch/swirl/oxidize panel without needed to change pad (LC white > LC black). Rupes and Ultramate can achieve this in short time? Hologram free - Using makita does create hologram on soft paint. Thus by using DA able to create hologram free. Bear in mind am using white pad followed by black pad and I still able to see hologram using LED torch lamp after IPA wipe down. Time - Time consuming when I need to change pad/product when using makita to remove hologram. I took me more than 9 hours to do whole car for normal polishing only. So it comes back to the first question. Does rupes or ultramate able to achieve gloss with hologram free in short time compare to makita? smoothness - I know that rupes operates in smooth condition whereas ultramate does vibrate a lot. But does the vibration is acceptable? How about using ultramate on vertical panel? Need your master advise in this matter. Thanks P/S: Thanks Henry from Osren (suggest me to buy Ultramate since I have makita), krismas suggesting me to buy rupes for smoothness and scoutfai for answering my question (a lot) over facebook chat.
