Less than RM800 to your doorstep.
~5 - 7 business day to reach your doorstep.
You want to get HHKB? laugh.gif
Yeah, rather than forking out RM1k+ for a custom ergo clear, I might as well try a HHKB and most probably 55g mod it. What proxy did you use?

HHKB ~21900yen, HHKB type-S 29800yen.
Some people like type-S, some people like normal edition. wub.gif

Really tempted to buy the type-S, but the normal version+o rings and lube might be even cheaper and yield a probably even result. Do you use Paypal or CC on Tenso? I wonder if they charge Paypal fees, it might even more expensive.

cnc is about quantity. for example if you are just making one, the manufacturer will need to stop their current production, write the program, just to mill one for you.

eg.

1 unit - 1800rm
10 units - 1100rm
*
You are correct.

What I mean is for that 300rmb "7075 alu" (cnc maybe?) is not expensive brows.gif
since he is mentioning about costs there.

normal version + o-ring?
You must be kidding me and even look down on HHKB type-S. The housing of type-S is different from normal.

I use cc.

After watching several sound video on comparison of both dental banded normal and type S, I just prefer the normal version. Also I don't think the extra price is worth it. So, I guess waiting for a day to verify my identification on Tenso is normal?

Yea of course everybody would love getting 7075 alu haha. Problem is the cnc mill. The machine must be well maintained if not the case will come out with many blemishes. Im not sure if i trust the local fabricator here because of this issue. Want to source aluminum blocks is one problem. Getting it made locally with good finishing is another problem. Nvm ill just prepare a nice drawing of my designs and we'll see how it goes.

Test running one aluminum prototype would already cost more than 1k. Anybody willing to sponsor?

Yeah, gonna try to make a 55g HHKB. The only thing that I'm worry about is probably the layout which will be pretty difficult to get used to.

The only thing that needs adjustment is the lack of dedicated arrow keys. The rest of the boards are fine, really. So, you going to ditch the MX camp? Ha ha. What about your CC?

We already have one prototype, if you have been following this thread.
You will noticed local made full aluminium, 84 WKL TKL case in 2-piece style. brows.gif
The cost of it is around or more.

So you asked already for tex-alike also 1k?

After calculating the price for a 60% custom ergo clear and comparing with HHKB, I don't think it's worth it going down that road. My CC is still Topre, but most likely to trade with some Toxic Bros to match with a black HHKB.

If you are into Topre Brobot, I have them to trade. I just don't have MX. Wanna discuss smile.gif wink.gif ?

Because I really like my 87U 55g and probably think that the 45g is a tad lighter to my liking and the 87U is a bit bulky to bring to places. I might end up selling the mix 45g 55g realforce if I'm liking the 55g HHKB

One does not simply compare Cherry MX and HHKB.

I came across many cherry mx kbd but still didn't get into topre,
because different league, also never compare it.

Cherry MX on the other hand has many level of customization.
FMJ 7075 + Plate + PCB + properly tuned switch + keycaps already can buy 2 pieces of HHKB.

Sure, if you have colours that might interest me. It's too bad that I have to have an account that is at least 2 months old to create a thread at Classified. Do drop me a PM

Maybe still wait you get your HHKB first only you will know which you like.
Some people like 45g more than 55g.
Depends on your own pref.

I like my MX brown Filco more than my HHKB and Novatouch. sweat.gif

havent yet...but long time ago I had some friends who worked to operate some CNC milling. They said for a small block to be milled should usually cost about 300. But I have to source the alu block on my own since Im looking for a specific quality. But then their machine accuracy very sad.gif coz the rarely do proper maintanence.....so I dont want to take the risk.
