QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Aug 29 2014, 11:30 AM) if LGV already planned that kagawa will just warm the bench most of the time, then let's not waste kagawa's talent he should go back to Dortmund. QUOTE Dortmund boss Jurgen Kiopp, who remains a huge admirer of the attacking midfielder, told reporters in May 2013 that his “heart breaks” whenever he caught sight of Kagawa being played out of position at Old Trafford. “Shinji Kagawa is one of the best players in the world and he now plays 20 minutes at Manchester United - on the left wing!” he said at the time. ”My heart breaks. Really, I have tears in my eyes. “Central midfield is Shinji's best role. He's an offensive midfielder with one of the best noses for goal I ever saw.” shinji, why you no fulfill lvg wish?? |

QUOTE(josiehow @ Aug 29 2014, 06:55 PM) Cuz Kramer is currently on loan (and a switch for him would definitely be early) and bender chose to stay with Leverkusen and renewed his contract. I remember him giving an interview that he wasn't that happy with his performance and prefers to stay. easy to say 'came too late', but you have to understand that as a manager, especially if you've just joined the job, you have to be fair to every single player that is cuurently at the club. They have to play, be it pre-season or actual league games, so that they can try to convince the manager that they can and will adapt to his playing style. It's not like playing a management game where you just come in and straight transfer list all the players that you think will not suit your style... just face it... Van Gaal came way too late to be able to create a significant impact this transfer period. U can be glad to be able to sign di maria even though the price tag was high. Anything u sign now will just be a desperate purchase which you should be familiar with after last season. On top of that w.o. cl top players won't be desperate to join u. |

QUOTE(john_white @ Aug 29 2014, 08:12 PM) Me like too, but pity cant show his talent here. This guy is excellent playing in limited space, he's calm when under pressure and very aware of his surroundings. i just feel that sometimes, the other players dun wanna take risk and pass to him when he's being marked. kagawa likes to play in such space coz he posseses good one touch play. he will absorb oppo pressure and make space for the others to go fwd.... you put him in barca team, he become god... i just saying.. |

QUOTE(tatabun @ Aug 30 2014, 10:10 AM) maria as mc? is that the position robben played for holland last WC? coz i expect ADM to be played similar as robben's position.. who can break through counter attacks with speed.. dayum... when attacking, i think only fletch will stay back with the 3 CBs, while the other 4 fwds + 2 WB will go up further... so if we kena counter at least got 4 on standby to defend. if oppo build up attack slow, then maria and mata will drop back into the above formation quickly to cover the spaces. looking at what LVG said, Burnley should be playing long ball to their Fwd and rely on second ball to score, could mean that they wont rely much on counter (like what mk don), but who knows their manager might have studied mk dons and could set up the same way against us. So, very important match for the 3 CBs tonight... |

fletch is a holding midfield, his job is to protect the back three while allowing his partner to roam upfield. he supposed to only patrol horizontally just infront of 3 CBs for any oppo counter. dun la expect him also to gung ho go up.. nanti kena concede goal, then all the comments asking where fletch went plak... relax, we shall come good

QUOTE(G_KeN @ Aug 30 2014, 10:11 PM) have to look at the bigger picture (or probably only when we're on the pitch then we'll know how limited time we have on the ball)i dun think fletch is a bad passer of the ball. so either: 1) surrounding players are not running into space (refer back to klose article where he say "it was difficult to make runs he couldnt see". so, the more matches we play, the more we should be improving these runs and make fletch's life easy. 2) give credit to burnley players, they stuck with their man marking. look at rooney and rvp and you'll know what a good job burnley players did with marking.. so, once again, #WeShallComeGood i sound like lvg or what |

QUOTE(cursed @ Aug 30 2014, 10:21 PM) I get everyone's butt-hurting right now. But what would you do in the manager's shoes when you have almost a starting XI of injuries to deal with? New system, new manager, new philosophy. LVG already said 3 months is what he needs. Then we all should just calm down, let our injured players come back, let the new signings gel together and if further down the road it's not working, then start sharpening those pitch forks. There's no use wasting your energy raging all over the forums. Yes, I'm frustrated to see misplace passes, headless chicken running. At least today we did not concede. The last 15 minutes, showed what we can do with the ball. Have faith. It hurts to see the team this way, but we've been spoilt by Sir all this while. Come back to reality and rally behind the team |

Van Gaal bemoans lack of cutting edge
http://my.soccerway.com/news/2014/August/3...g-edge/n411189/ QUOTE "I don't think we give a lot away, but we have to create more chances and today I think we have created chances to score. "I think we were the stronger team, certainly in the second half. "Of course the progress is there, but you have to win. A club as [big as] Manchester United have to win. "When you have two points [out] of [a possible] nine... that is disappointing." While declining to comment on two penalty appeals for his side, Young having also gone down under a challenge from Kieran Trippier in the first half, Van Gaal did question the performance of referee Chris Foy. "I think a manager don't have to discuss these issues [the penalty claims]," added the Dutchman. "You have to see the match and I think we have a lot of free-kicks against us, and I'm certain we have more ball possession, so how is that possible?" Van Gaal was able to express optimism over the likely availability of new signing Marcos Rojo, who was unable to join Di Maria in the United line-up at Burnley as he awaits a work permit. "I believe when we play against Queens Park Rangers [after the international break], Rojo shall have a permit," Van Gaal stated. |

REPORT: UNITED SUBMIT BID FOR FALCAO
http://www.prideofalleurope.com/2014/08/re...bid-for-falcao/? QUOTE With the transfer window closing tomorrow, you can tell things are about to get silly! With a ton of teams looking at him, it is being reported that Manchester United have made a late move to sign Monaco striker Radamel Falcao. The Columbian was believed to be on his way to Real Madrid, apparently tweeting his joy at sealing the move before deleting it, but now United are believed to have waded in. Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Sky Italia, Cadena Ser and AS are amongst a number of people reporting that United have moved for the striker but how likely is it? Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Follow JUST IN: 10 minutes ago Manchester United submitted an undisclosed bid to Monaco for Falcao 4:40 AM - 1 Sep 2014 1,665 RETWEETS 305 FAVORITES United already have 2 top draw strikers and whilst they have tried to get rid of both Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, a move for Falcao would only serve to further muddy the waters at Old Trafford. But things aren’t so cut and dry. Today it was reported that Real Madrid had agreed to sign Javier Hernandez on loan, a move that would put Falcao’s move to the Bernabeu in doubt. Add to that Man City have reportedly loaned Alvaro Negredo to Valencia and that leaves space for the 28 year old at The Etihad. Arsenal too are still in the hunt for striker, having missed out on Loic Remy although Guillem Balague tonight stated they were not interested in Falcao as he was too expensive. I’m betting that this will be the story of the day tomorrow, Jim White is shaking with excitement! This post has been edited by king_eric: Sep 1 2014, 08:44 AM |

OMG! falcao... please build a statue for Ed if this happens. He's a pain for any defence and after a dissapointing adventure with Monaco, am sure he's eager to rise up again!
