cannot install AVG anymore la bro...compability issue

just install the trend micro one lah...at this point of time, we're left with not much choices only...

hmm...just installed RC1 on my comp...everything seems to be running smoothly...i even tried installing Java Development Kit version 1.5 and it runs....this means i can do my programming work on vista already...

as for antivirus, can i use avast?

edit : my Windows experience index is rated at 4.3....quite happy since its coming from a sempron system...

yo side, jumped into the vista bandwagon also ahh...not bad for a sempron system.

why use avast? lesser resource consumption? i wanted to use nod32 instead of the trend micro, but unfortunately got compatibility issues.

yea...vista looks much better ma... and if i'm not mistaken avast consumes lesser resource...any1 tried BT?? downloading bitcomet but very slow...can i use nero on vista?? thought some1 is suppose to create a list of compatible list for programs that can run for vista..hehe...when issit gonna be done??

i did put up a website for the program and hardware compatibility...if it's not in this thread, then it's the other one...

BT i've tried...i think the speed is ok...nothing wrong with it. i'm using azureus btw. nero canot run...got compatibility prob...

have not tried yet...but accoding to you, it seems to work... hahaha...

after i installed pc-cilin....ram usage shot up to 70+% damn....this thing is hungry for ram...

You will encounter an error when installing Nero, but the program itself is installed. Just make the shortcut manually. also, to make the nero express shortcut, use the "-w" command for the original Nero.

I use PowerISO as I too failed to install Nero in Vista RC1.

Sigh.. i'm still very noob and confused with windows vista. There are 32bits and 64bits right. I'm now deciding which to install as I see there are limited softwares and also drivers to it. And how i know vista x86 is compatible with any software? And my mobo's driver right, they are having xp x64 driver there, can be used for vista as well? I'm so confused now. Which is better to use? x86 or x64?

hmm...I suggest u use the 64 bit since you have a 64 bit platform rig...do a search on the hardware compatibility....the link is available in the download page, i think

use the 32 bit then. I'm using it even tho my proc is a 64bit
