only a few virtual drives work
i am using virtual clonedrive

arg!! after i have activated my rc1, i got the welcome screeen
i have used the help support to search the way to disable it, but the result from the search is that vista welcome screen cannot be disabled
i think there must be a way to disable, as first few times i boot my vista without the welcome screen

how to disable it ??
i need your help ~

Thanks andyjyneo for upload the picture.Besides i saw your graphic card having 383 mb ,but mine is just 128 Geforce Fx 5600.So does the GUI running smooth with 128mb ?

And also , linkinstreet , can i ask , or maybe i'll start a topic listing programs that can be install on vista.I want to know what program can be install into window vista , like nero , i would like to burn using window vista.Can someone list out program that can be install ?

look at the bottom left hand corner of the welcome screen window. there is a checkbox you can tick to remove it. HTH

although there is still so many incompatible programs around, but from the testing i've done from beta 2 to rc1, the improvement is ALOT in terms of compatibility and stabilty. bear in mind that RC1 is consider one of the testing stages and it's NOT final.

about the GUI, i think it looks ok and works well also. it is like converting a windows 98 user to windows xp. it's a matter of getting used to the new interface. if you don't like the current look, there is always an option to change back to the looks of a legacy windows.

linkinstreet, i'm now actually dualbooting with xp and vista. my xp is in C: while my vista is in D. previously in beta 2, yes, vista always makes itself as C: but in this rc1, my vista stays in D and shows as D contrary to what you've reported. if you ask me how do i do it, i think it maybe because i install it in a different hard disk altogether. and for your 7600GT, try using the latest vista beta driver. (i think it's here) HTH

For those with X-Fi sound cards, RC1 drivers still not out yet, so you will be stuck with 2.1 if you have 5.1 or 7.1 setup.
