Yeah you all must have noticed there is a rust spot on the metal bar there. I touch and found out it is greasy. I guess Perodua know this and apply grease when assembling. Not going to complain though, as it is only one spot, high possibility they wont replace the whole thing. I apply more WD-40 on it. Maybe one day will sand off the rust.

Check your Axia, see if majority are affected, if yes, maybe we can go claim some compensation tongue.gif (free spoiler / Llumar maybe for G spec laugh.gif)

Just installed the famous 4 in 1 thingy to my Axia last weekend. Bought it from Jack , Cooz auto https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3454419

Very good seller provided me the guide to install it. To those who wish to DIY and experience more with your car, can try it. Make sure you get the right spec. The brake socket for G spec and SE/Adv are different as I know.

Installation is pretty simple. The door receiver module is behind the glove box, the brake and side mirror switches are on the driver side, behind the small compartment box.

Take out the glove box, locate the door receiver module, it is hidden at the top there.
(The glove box is abit hard to remove, need to use some gentle force here, but make sure not to break anything.  sweat.gif ).

Plug out the existing plug, and plug in the 4in1 wires. The plugs are fool-proof so it can only be plugged one side, you can't go wrong there. Plugs everything and you are good to go.

Immediately you will hear the tick-tok-tick-tok signal sound, as your door is open, this 4 in 1 includes the hazards lights double signal when door is open, it will only blinks for 20 seconds, after that it will stop. Which is a very considerate feature, as nobody would like their car tick-tok-tick-tok forever right when doors are open.

After that, put the wire to go to the driver side for the brake and side mirror. You should easily find a space here for wire to go through, and I guess different people will choose different place for it. The wires length are not that long, so need to make sure it can reach the side mirror and brake switch. Very simple for side mirror and brake, you can find the switches easily, just plug out and connect into the wires sockets, connect the other end to the existing wire.

Then if you want to have Tee-Tee sound when lock / unlock, you need to install the buzzer. For the buzzer, if you want to install on the front hood, just open the hood, you will seed a big rubber cap near the battery side. Peel out that rubber cap, put the buzzer wire through, and put back the rubber cap. make sure it is tight otherwise air / water may come in from there. Plug the buzzer head into the 4 in 1 box and that's it.
(sorry forgot to take pics for this step).
There is also a jumper on the 4 in 1 box, where you can set :

1) Side mirrors unfold immediately when door is unlocked OR
2) Side mirrors unfold only when key position is on ACC mode (engine on).

*Many thanks skyny / Jack for the information about the jumper.  rclxms.gif

At first I thought option 2) would be so cool, like unlock then the side mirrors unfold, like the car is welcoming you laugh.gif

But after awhile, found it not practical, as sometimes I just need to unlock take my stuff, then lock it back. The side mirrors will unfold and then fold again. I worry this will cause extra damage to the motors as it is used more frequent now, so I change it back to option 1).

For my case, the jumper is set at option 1) out from the box, but to be sure, better to test it first before closing the glove box. (Again, removing and installing the glove box is not fun at all.sweat.gif)

Then finally, you need to choose where to place this 4 in 1 tiny black box. I use a double side tape and stick it with the door receiver. After make sure everything is tested and working good, reinstall back the glove box and enjoy.

So far my feedbacks on the device :

1) Hazard lights when doors open is abit redundant for me, I wish it can be switched off.
2) Foot brake auto-lock only works when key is on ACC / engine on, and doors are closed properly. And yout need to press the foot brake for about 1sec, only it will lock the door.

Other than that, this device is so cool and worth it.

I go and show off to my friends afterwards, they are so amazed of side mirrors auto folding when lock. Just act cool when pressing the lock button laugh.gif
Hope this helps. smile.gif

Hi, want to ask:-

1) When u touch your key on the keyhole (just touch only, not yet insert) it will have a beep beep sound, may I know what is that for? Also when you turn off the engine the sound is there also until you pull the key out.

2) And this sound is not every time will have one, it just come out random.

Is it something broken?
*
Nope nothing is broken. It is just a reminder for u to take your keys when u leave ur car. By leaving the car means door open. If door close then no warning/beeping.

Has anyone changed or plan to change the rims?

I am wondering what tyre size to get for 15" rims..

195/50/15 or 195/55/15?

What brand of tyres would u guys recommend?

Is RM 500 for trade in the stock rims n tyres reasonable?

Thanks smile.gif

Yea initially I installed the buzzer inside the car, but the thing is the buzzer will also sound when you lock the door from inside when the engine is off. This happen when waiting someone and off the engine. The buzzer that sound inside the cabin really loud, I cant stand the beep so I install it infront outside.

Yeah, that's what i do, when you off engine, and lock manually with hand, the buzzer will beep as well. And the side mirror will auto fold as well.

Strange but I think that's how the 4in1 work, it tapped on the door lock / unlock action, not alarm arm disarm actually.

Actually it is just my over-protection towards my car. Off course more usage will shorten the lifespan of the motor, but I think the lifespan is long enough for the lifetime of the car, or perhaps at least few years. If the motor is broken, just send for warranty (maybe need to remove the 4in1 first.. blush.gif ), or buy replacement sets after warranty period over, should not cost alot I think.

Not the steering wheel but i scratch the cd player area one time. It was during an emergency brake and my hand happen to be there. Axia dashboard plastic is really soft, and black color make it very prone to scratches sad.gif

Not only the steering & dashboard areas, infact the whole interior that having the same material blink.gif !! Best is wrap all these areas up or if budget permits upholstery them up sweat.gif !!
