Yes, I can vouch for this. I got the car and straight go long distance driving highway+B road balik kampung (900km in total) laugh.gif

Pipu say aluminium engine easy overheat and cannot long distance travel without stopping and open hood = I'd say bollocks. doh.gif

90% idle vibration during D now gone after clocking 6,500km. Actually around 4,500km can feel the difference dy, even when you on aircond. Chill guys. Give the car some time.

I guess some of you guys never own a kapchai before. Keluar kedai motor vibrate and everything feels ketat lel. After some time can lenjan dy.

very untrue statement. vios and previous sylphy engine in this country are made of aluminium if im not mistaken and rarely hear any major problem with both cars engine.

True, mine already 3000km plus on the odometer, the vibration at stop during D gear become lesser and lesser, in fact i dont bother change to N now..

Speaking of switching between D and N, is it recommended to do so? Does it increase transmission wear and tear? I have always wondered bout this.

Sort of agree with you.

When I just got the car, everything is like so new and so "hard", less responsive.

Now after 300km, definitely started to becoming smoother.

Another thing is that mine don't really had the vibration problem when idling, be it aircon on or off.

i think no la..
the conventional auto gearbox if i remember correctly by someone who explained it to me, he said, the gearbox is not mechanically connected to the engine.. the thing that will wear is the clutch plate..
but during idle speed, i think the torque is still nothing if compared to torque during wheel spin, (in manual, full throttle, then dump clutch in 1st gear)

take two table fan facing each other, and let one of them rotate freely..
if u turn on the 1st fan, the other fan will follow if enough airspeed pushes its fan blades..
but if u set the fan speed slow, the other fan will not follow-turn. because not enough airspeed to spin the blade..

air in the fan equals to gearbox oil in our auto gearbox,
and the first fan is the engine, the 2nd fan (free rotating) is our gearbox,
so in gear D during idle, can say it is at the ngam ngam speed to rotate the 2nd fan, if we apply more fuel, engine rpm rise, and the 2nd fan blade (our gearbox will rotate)

so the torque at idle is only little..
but if the red light too long, just put in N lah, so u will not feel the vibration..

i think the vibration is coming from the "air" (gb oil) that passes the 2nd fan blade (torque converter), but u stop the 2nd blade with ur hand (apply brake to car), the air still passes through the 2nd fan blades and struggling to rotate the 2nd fan blade, but since the torque so little, and u hold the blade, it wont move, but u will feel the vibration abit laa.. its like a small kid try to move a big fat guy.. laugh.gif

See later after 3,000km what the car is capable of.. "Underpowered" will not be in your Axia's dictionary anymore. Trust me. brows.gif brows.gif

Guys, anybody tried to install an on/off to the front sensor?

It buzzes everytime the motorcycles pass by. Any way to install a on/off switch?
