Hey guys, was wondering is it better to get SE or G yeah? Does the stuff with SE justify the extra costs?
*
I would say the main dif is the ABS and EBD.

If you are the type of safety person, those are pretty much a must, even if it cost quite a lot.

Just got mine, Midnight Blue SE.
user posted image

Booked on 1st Nov, got it today, but road tax and car registration actually done 26th Nov.

I would say it is pretty short waiting time compared to what I saw here, LOL... May be cause the car is bought through SA of East Malaysia.

But then, no free smart tag and so on, plus the tyres are actually SilverStone one.

The car itself is pretty fine, smooth to drive. No major delay and so on, but acceleration can be unresponsive at some times.

But there's one small issue which may drive me nuts - the door of front passenger side is making this vibrating and rattling noise, really unbearable... I try to reclose the door for many times, still no different. When car not in move, I try to exert some gentle push towards the door (from inside), I can hear there's the gentle vibrating sound of something in contact with another.

Any suggestion on what could be the cause or how to solve it?

Something might be loose or dangling.
Send back to SC for checking. Technically we have 5 yrs warranty.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Wondering should I wait for the 5k mileage or can just send it in now.

Cause I don't know exactly how long till it drive me nuts, lol... rclxub.gif

My OCD had make me return to SC to fix the car within 24 hours.

Got it fixed, they say something about door lock problem. Now no more such noise, and hope it won't come back in future.

Not sure if it is because the engine is only 1000cc or I hadn't get used to it, the acceleration can be not responsive at times.

Mine not really too shaky, just that the RPM tend to fluctuate between 900/1000 periodically (around 5s).

The car itself don't really shake.

Apple devices more often than not cannot connect to non-apple devices via bluetooth unless those counterparts are Apple-approved devices. You'd better check if you can connect a android hp to the Axia media center. Apple is very donkey when it comes to connectivity to non-apple devices.

Yes, I can vouch for this. I got the car and straight go long distance driving highway+B road balik kampung (900km in total) laugh.gif

Pipu say aluminium engine easy overheat and cannot long distance travel without stopping and open hood = I'd say bollocks. doh.gif

90% idle vibration during D now gone after clocking 6,500km. Actually around 4,500km can feel the difference dy, even when you on aircond. Chill guys. Give the car some time.

I guess some of you guys never own a kapchai before. Keluar kedai motor vibrate and everything feels ketat lel. After some time can lenjan dy.
*
Sort of agree with you.

When I just got the car, everything is like so new and so "hard", less responsive.

Now after 300km, definitely started to becoming smoother.

Another thing is that mine don't really had the vibration problem when idling, be it aircon on or off.

The engine feel kinda hot when i only drive like less then 10 min on rainy night compare  to my old wira hmmm
*
LOL wut, just when I am about to post about this...

I also realize the same thing, the engine and bonnet are definitely hotter. I can barely touch it with my hands despite just being idle for about half an hour. Being using wira b4 this, no such problem too.

Also I also noted that it don't have temperature meter, I guess it only rely on temperature indicators?

Let's hope it won't affect the car and parts in long run.

this is totally non scientific statement,
perhaps the fan of wira, the wind got deflected somewhere else but ur face.
maybe in axia, the wind generated by the fan after sucking hot air out, kena direct hit ur face so u will feel hotter..
well if everything like this also want to complain, then engineer die liao.. gaji rm2000, customer complain feel hot.. all feeling feeling only.. unlest the temperature warning rise baru la complain..

pakai feeling feeling ni what standard u use i also dont know..
sorry bukan emo, but atleast know ur car abit la...
if real problems like casing headlamp berpeluh ke ape ke ok la jugak.. (actually got cases already and the owner got headlamp replacement)
*
Nope, we are just being extra alert and oversensitive here to every single characteristics we find on our new cars.

Just try to verify if that is a common problem or individual case.

Also, we do hope that it isn't a design flaw which is not resolvable, that's pretty much it.

yes, no analoge temperature gauge, maybe the blue color cold will turn to red if temperature rise more than normal.
but i also donno..
it should have mechanism to prevent us from starting the engine if warning appear...
no la, just want to filter out real problems and 'not so real problems'..
but please, keep share whatever ur axia experience here..
maybe we can learn our car together by sharing problems..

May be wira's cooling design too powerful, haha...

Is there any vibration issue on the axia? I heard from a friend who bought it that it vibrates quite strong during idle.

Anyone else feels it?
*
Apparently it is case to case basis.

Some people (luckily including me... sweat.gif ) don't but some people do.

And yet mine is still at 10.x km/L, LOL...

May be cause my area is mountainous and occasionally I will on aircond idling in car for an whole hour surfing on phone.

But I not really complaining (yet), at least my car is safe from the rough idle thing... sweat.gif

On a side note, anyone else feel that the boot toggle is a little too hard or stiff? Sometimes I am afraid I will broke the thing before the boot get opened...

Have u ever reset the fc meter? See how it goes
*
Yup, reset every refill.

In fact I refill when the "range" fall under 40km. The "trip" shown me 178++ km. I pumped 16.xxL (RM40 of ron97 at 2.46) last time.

Today I pumped exactly the same amount with previous balance of 36km (if it is trustable?), let's see how far will I had traveled till next balance fall back to 36km.

Just faced 2 more "problems" with my car,

1. The alarm gone haywire. Just now (rainy day), I drive and park as usual. Everything normal. After that, I open the front passenger door for a while, later close it and lock the car and off for bungkus mekdi. When I am back, I am a kind of confused that I keep on pressing the buttons on the key yet no responds. I take a peek inside the car, the alarm indicator is still blinking as normal. So, I decided to unlock using key, and as expected the alarm sounds. I then start the car and the alarm disabled by itself (it is a weird alarm system for being disabled so easily?). I off the engines and retry, sometimes responsive sometimes nope. For some reasons, it is back to normal by itself now.

2. The compartment for the car battery is kind of not suitable. While I try to disconnect the battery, I being extra careful to hold the nut so that it didn't drop. Mana tau, the bold is the one which dropped... And it didn't directly dropped to the floor, but get stuck in the void under the battery. I had to resolve to remove the whole battery and spend over an hour to get the bold out.

1. Car wont lock door if any pintu tak tutup rapat.
I think the key got special chip, if just using bare metalĀ  key without the alarm remote unit, the car wont start or if can start, alarm still sounds.
2. Dont touch if tak kena mengena. Removing battery not done everyday, should be no issue. Those who remove battery usually know what they are doing.
*
1. yup, but the haywire just now is when I got locked outside of my car. Means when locking it works, but when I am back to unlock, it failed. And yeah, the SA once told me that the key had immobilizer, so it may now make sense if the disabling of alarm when start engine is actually done by the immobilizer. hmm.gif May be next time when I am bored enough to duplicate a non-immobilizer dummy key I can retest to confirm it.

2. Balik kampung for a few days, takut nanti balik no-electric, so disconnect it safer. But still, the design really not mistakeproof... If other small little parts accidentally dropped into the engine, it may get stuck there.

I think when you press the remote button and no response, is because the door is not closed properly. I don't like this as well. For Myvi, if there is a door didn't close property, when u press the remote button, it will lock the doors, but alarm will go off in seconds, telling u that the doors are no closed properly.

For Axia, it just gives no response. So every time need to make sure see the signal lights blink only know the car is locked.

If the alarm is engaged and you open with key, the alarm won't go off immediately, there is a 5 second delay according to the SA. After that the alarm will sound.

There is no reset button for Axia alarm, just plug in the key are turn to ON will disable the alarm. The key must have the correct immobiliser chip otherwise the car won't start.
I have the same problem like you last time, took me few hours to figure out, it is just too tight for first time use. For my case, the seat is adjusted to the lowest position, so I can't press it down anymore. Try pull the adjuster up with a little bit force, eventually you will feel the seat going up, let go the adjuster and pull again to go higher.

Hope this helps you smile.gif
*
It is trolling me when I lock, it considered as properly closed and allowing me to lock, but when I try to unlock it realized I didn't shut it properly and disable the remote, locked me outside...
