it was d 9300GY. when he said green i guess he meant the compass part.

my 9300 is my 1st solar watch. i got some questions.

It was manufactured in late 2014 and it was placed on displayed in the watch shop for a few months until purchased on wednesday.

when i got it on Wednesday night, the batt indicator was at H. played around with it for an hour or so (alarms, time adjust, lights n etc).

Then the indicator dropped to M. a few minutes later batt level back to H. all this happening at night with the only light source fr a fluorescent tube in my room.

It remained at H until yesterday evening where it dropped to M again. it was exposed to direct sunlight n went back to H. a few minutes later it was back to M again. remained at M since then.

Why is the batt level going up n down so quickly ?

that's wat im doing right now. left in by a window for 15mins n d level went up to H. played with watch a bit n level dropped back to M. gave it another 10mins of window time n went back to H.

but im worried if exposure to sunlight thru a window will effect the watch or not. after 15mins the watch felt warm. used the thermometer function n temp was 38c

i think i really need to charge my watch longer. 3 hrs of sunlight thru a lightly tinted window n H only lasted 5 hrs or so. its back to M now.

anyone seen it locally in shops yet ?

lelong sellers pricing it higher than the regular black 9300. around RM700.

It looks matte to me although I have only seen pics n not IRL yet.

it'll be great if u could keep a look out on prices for me. i should be going to G Factory this coming week. will check on prices for black king...i think there's another one u wanted me to check availability n prices right ?

im sticking with the Mudman haha. im really digging the Mudman. i want more Mudmans !

dun worry Malaysia gets so much sunlight all year round. its very suitable for solar powered watches

artificial light also charge a tough solar...its just takes a much longer time compared to sunlight.

i read one thread on watchuseek forum where one guy charged his tough solar g shock but placing it very close to a lamp for many hours. it totally fried the watch's LCD screen.

charged my Mudman for about 30 mins using sunlight thru a window. d room window has some kind of tint film. watch temp went up to 40c. dun play2 LOL

some ppl put a tough solar g shock in a glass bowl filled with water n place it outdoors under direct sunlight. charges up quickly without worry of sun damage to LCD n bezel. i havent tried this method tho. mainly bcoz im afraid someone will climb into my garden n steal my watch.

the ppl in watchuseek can be a lil OCD when it comes to G Shocks

the lengths they go to makes me go "really? seriously ?" sometimes.

where did u go to look for 5600 n 6900 ?

once again i changed my mind...i dun think i wanna get the G9000MS d. I might get a classic square 5600. but with Tough Solar. after looking at some of the rounder models, they all start looking similar with my Mudman LOL.

something basic like 5600 wont cost that much right ?

i still want to get a red mudman tho. i doubt i can still find a rising red in local watch shops. even if i could i dun think i wanna pay that much for it. so i might just settle for a rescue red mudman.

a few posts on top, Skylinestar said G Factory n some watch shops in Sg Wang dun carry the basic 5600 models anymore

funny how basic models r harder to get LOL. i guess they can make more money with the limited editions n newer models.

i beginning to like Tough Solar feature but i wont mind a regular 5600 either.

5600BB is nice too..i wont mind getting one in the future. but seems mahal even on lelong.

The look of the 6900 dun really appeal to me. i still prefer the 5600. i wan a square G now. dowan any other mudman d

i initially wanted just a basic DW5600. but the features n functions very limited. the G5600E has Tough Solar n much more functions n features compared to DW5600. however the colour variations r very limited. more colour choices for the atomic 5600 models. but i dun need atomic, tough solar is enough. I do wish Casio will release more colors for the G5600E model.

as long as u wear a Tough Solar G shock in d daytime constantly it's sufficient to charge it. Malaysia has so much sun all year round.

How do u guys care n maintain your G Shocks in hot humid Malaysian weather ?

Barely 15mins outdoors in d hot afternoon sun n the back case n resin band of my Mudman is covered with sweat. I rinsed it with a water. no soap.

do u guys wash your G Shocks after each wear ?

Personally I find it troublesome if I need to rinse n dry the watch after each use. Plus I dun like to clean the mineral glass often as this increases d risk of scratches. but on the other hand i am afraid of resin rot due to sweat.

its just basic models for me now.

but like d look of the G5600KG-3. i wonder if its still available locally in shops ?
