Why u sold off the king? Ya la i think i just get the rangeman.
*
not comfortable on the wrist, plus its too big.
rangeman also big, but wears nicer.
i couldn't care less if it's collectible or not, eventually resin gonna break down after like 10yrs anyway.

I love this model PRW-6000Y-1 when first sighted but been scared when I saw City Chain sell it at nearly RM2k. Izit this model acceptable or valuable at that price. Any owner here can give me advise?

i had that, then later sold it and replaced it with the prw3000.
imo, ABC should be fully digital.
but if u want to buy for its looks, then that's ur choice.
i bought brand new that time basically rm1.3k...before marco increase price by 10% and GST come in...so means now cheapest marco set also basically rm1.5k after discount.
anyway i think u can still get grey set around rm1.3k.

Thank you for your reply and advise. Just ask few online seller and they quote me macro set with the price also almost RM2k but the cheapest i ask is RM1.7k++. May i know where can i get macro set with around RM1.5k? BTW i also ask non macro set seller and they sell it around RM1.5k but the warranty is under global warranty from distributor. Izit mean with the global warranty, we also can send to macro official casio service center?
*
then guess the price increase again.
when i bought that time retail was only rm1599.

Hi, fellas.  I have always wanted a G-shock (for 20 years?) but never got round to it.  2 weeks ago, after passing through a G-shock retailer in Singapore, I decided to look into it when back on Malaysian shores. Owing to the hundreds if not thousands of G-shocks available, my head is spinning rclxub.gif  and I decided to do some research on the internet.  Wow, I didn't know that Gs have got such a huge international as well as Malaysian following.  My criteria for buying a G-Shock is (a) it tells the time and (b) it is a fashion accesory.  I decided that my G-Shocks have to be black resin and no colorful stuff, thank you.  Since I am not a watch collector but a watch wearer, I probably won't buy more than 5 units.  So i have to choose carefully.  7 days ago I bought my first G, a G-9300 Mudman.  I loved it so much that 4 days ago I bought my 2nd G, a G-6900.  Now I feel like I cannot stop myself.  God help me! sweat.gif  My next 3 on wishlist is the Gulfman, GDX 6900 Panda white/black, and GX 56 red/black.  But I don't now which to get first.  All pictures of the abovesaid are attached below. In the near future, a Rangeman and a Frogman would be nice.
*
yea dont go down the collection road, u will regret... nod.gif

anyway, at one point or another i've had all those listed except for the gulfman.
another option instead of the gulfman is the 7900...or perhaps any of the g-lide series.
i still have the 9300...which i hardly wear now since my rangeman has taken over.
now im just waiting for the mudmaster to reach here...but its one im sure i wont appreiate the functions as much as im already familiar with it due to owning the protrek prw6000 before which works exactly the same.
just that the mudmaster looks so nice tongue.gif

can you elaborate more why a collector will regret? vs just a watch wearer?
*
to me, its senseless collecting various models that will just sit there unworn etc...just for collections sake.
then when u look at the whole thing, some voice in ur head says... u can buy a patek or rolex or omega already with all that...of cos that's just my view... some who want to shiok sendiri for short term ok la.
cos as ppl know gshocks don't last forever anyway, the resin will eventually crack, breakdown etc.

Hello to all sifu-sifu,

I'm owning G-Shock Model GR-8900 (feature with tough solar) and wear it almost 3 and a half years (2012).
Really eager to buy the real G-Shock since I'm a little kid and manage to get 1 of them (after I got a job of course) . smile.gif

Just want to ask, how long the battery life for model with tough solar feature can hold (the seller mention me I don't have to worry since the battery on the watch will recharge itself as long it expose to the sunlight).

Anyway, looking for the shop that sell the batteries for this model.

P/s: Sorry about my watch condition. She been trough so many obstacle from sea, snow and dirt, due I'm often to travel around. Yet, she's really tough indeed  sweat.gif

hmm, i just checked the retail price in g-factory singapore.
the bracelet models - S100 is SGD399, S110 is SGD449.
between the 2, the cheaper one looks more tempting...too bad for its resin bezel.
but what i really dont like is its lack of smart crown, cos i know setting the hands are kinda irritating.

the s110 full metal was my cloud dream coz i dun think i can fork out 2k n it look like hard to get stock, im happy if i can get resin bezel+resin band

Turn out i was dead wrong about full metal s110 n theres not even a resin combo(bezel n band) for gst   biggrin.gif
*
i believe its resin bezel and rubber strap combo?
btw, the steel bezel version is not exactly full metal... its still a sandwich construction with resin in middle for shock absorption.

nm, its resin band... and imo fugly.
http://www.casio-intl.com/asia-mea/en/wat/...l/GST-S100G-1A/

guess if i do get one, no brainer is buy metal bracelet version and then by resin strap only from marco.

i saw the s110 full metal at g-factory nu sentral a couple of days ago when i was in KL. if not mistaken was retailing at RM14xx. all 3 colors are there.
it looks pretty cool.....but i found there's a lot of sharp edges all around.
*
bodo g-factory 1u...
told me they got 2 colors only, the all-steel, and the blue one with bracelet.
anyway, quite big...my informal measurement says the bezel is 47mm across...zzz.
but yea retail is rm1430 for all-steel.
the bracelet with resin bezel is rm1313.

Guys, need your opinion. I received an offer for GR-9110GY-1DR for around 600 (after conversion), free delivery from Australia? Used but never worn. Is it worth it or is there any better offer from shop locally? Can't seem to find it anywhere in my place anyway (MIRI)

user posted image
*
cos its been discontinued.
whether its worth it or not, thats ur call.
paying rm200+ over a normal model.
plus with a negative display thats not easy to read.
so only if u want to collect it.

Try look for G 5600E simple with tough solar.
Yeah but its quite tricky to download for Android xD.
*
not tricky, app is easily available.
but the time taken to sync is not worth it and the app more of a novelty.
much faster to set time urself manually.

Hi

I mean tricky to download because you cant find it on playstore/googleplay, need to seach the .apk in the internet. The app is easy to use, less than a minutes to sync any time any where with your android.

[attachmentid=5364981]

I just sync just now, of course need change to Tokyo time 1st, thats why the time capture +1 hours
*
ya not on playstore, but i think it used to be...or maybe region block.

but yea, change tokyo time etc...much faster to set time manually urself...still a novelty app for here tongue.gif

Guys, is there a big size difference between GW9400 Rangeman and G9300 Mudman?
Anyone seen these 2 model in a shop (KL/PJ) recently?
*
simple search already can find pics showing difference.
short story, mudman only slightly smaller.
i had both, i sold mudman and kept rangeman simply cos more useful.
