Interesting. The GT Radial Bax 2 had been criticized by a lot of owners being the stock tyres for the Proton Preve Turbo. And the tyre actually has one of the best dry and wet cornering performance behind the Michelin PS3, either ahead or same performance than most listed tyres. Goodyear Assurance Triplemax was rated lower than the Champiro Bax 2, and surprisingly Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002 has worse wet cornering than the Bax 2. The much touted Potenza Adrenalin RE002 is rated at 6.5% in wet cornering whereas the Champiro Bax 2 is rated at 8.0%.

Sometimes, I wonder if people are telling the truth on the actual performance of the tyres when they change the old tyres to some new tyres. The notion or experience shared on this forum is most stock tyres are bad, and the new tyres will always be better. Although many people have given poor remarks on the stock tyres of the Proton Preve Turbo (GT Radial Champiro Bax 2), I find the tyres to be good in dry and wet handling, as well as dry braking. I find the rating of the tyre on the website to be rather accurate.

Imho, comparison shouls be made when all other variables are fixed. For example, same car model at same track at same time during same condition driven by one driver but car using different tyres.

Correction, BAX2 wet braking is 7.0, where as wet cornering is 8.0.
PS3 ST is 7.5 and 9.0 respectively. Bear in mind, this one is 215/50R17.

That website only tested 16 models of 205/55R16, and the known ones are:

You drive Proton Preve?

BAX2 is tested to be quieter than BluEarth AE01, CDrive2, Assurance TripleMax, RE002 etc, but by insignificant margin. However, if the way they tested the tyres to be true, and to know such matter for a fact, can really put a rest to such arguments.
IMO, RE002 Adrenalin has poor wet traction can be expected from the tread. Also, noisier.

Yes, the wet cornering of the Champiro Bax 2 is 8.0. I didn't mention on the wet braking of the Bax 2.

Yes, I drive the Proton Preve Turbo. I didn't notice the Bax 2 is mentioned to be quieter than the Bluearth tyres. As far as I know the tyres are not very quiet. The Yokohama Bluearth AE50 which is supposed to be quite similar to the AE01 is quiet. Maybe the loud noise I hear from the Proton Preve Turbo is from the engine and not from the Bax 2 tyres. haha..

Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002 is only better than the GT Radial Champiro Bax 2 in dry braking. Everything else, especially wet braking and wet performance, the RE002 is worse than the Champiro Bax 2.

L & G,

Finally changed to dunlop d05/from goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3. Initial test: Not as grippy but i've yet to test the limit. Then again, comfort is good and its quieter.

Looking forward to test it in the wet.

NEW COMER  ROCKS!

ROVELO SPORT A1  205/55R16 @ RM208

Buy 4 , Included GST/ Alignment/ Balancing

Where is it made? Vietnam
How good are they? They are price low but can perform above expectation of a budget tyre
Traction Rating: A

How is the noise level? The score is pretty good and some say better than MC5.
How long can it last? Average 45,000km

How reliable are they? We have sold hundreds of Rovelo for the past 1 year, the defects is almost ZERO.

How does the customer feel about the tyre after use? Majority of them actually impressed with it's perfromance and many will use it again and recommended their friends to use it.

If you have more question and  want to know more call us at 03 56360917 . We will be please to assist you.

No manufacturer can claim ZERO DEFECT. Personally , we have not come across defects from Rovelo. However, we cannot claim tyres can achieve 100% zero defect.

To us , after selling for the past 1 year and do not have defects, it's a pretty reliable tyre.

Worth to consider .

I know no tire is zero defect but in your sentence above it means those you ahve sold almost got zero defects meaning some got issues which is not good, but if you mean zero defects in general then ok.

Thx.
