Ok, me again, with case questions: I've been looking through shops yesterday, trying to find a case for my phone. I've given up the hope for something like an Otterbox... the Rock thing is too unergonomic. There's also a Rock-a-like that sometimes gets sold as SGP (but isn't), which has a circular cutout in the center, tried that one on, and it didn't fit. The front lip was basically at the same height as the glass screen (including screen protector). The back was very well protected... the part of the phone that is the least sensitive. So basically a case that makes the phone not so nice to hold, big and fat, but doesn't protect properly.

Plenty of TPU cases out there, but I could not find even one that is the WCDMA version. Why do these shops import the cases for the SCDMA version of the phone? It has holes in different places.

So basically... does anyone here have a TPU case, ideally clear or tinted grey, glossy back (not so slippery), no prints, with holes in the right places? The more the screen is raised off the ground the better.

Btw., anyone tried Mi2raw Cam yet? It is _awesome_. Lets you get so much more out of the camera. As long as you can deal with 25 MB files per photo.

why dont buy the original xiaomi TPU case.
i feel it is good enough to protect the phone from drop and scratches.

same like my honeycomb case...the front part recess same level with the screen so i use rock shield case which has a raise higher than the screen protector...the hole cut out i cant be bothered as it doesnt effect me that much (i dont notice any problems so far)

my mi3 whatsapp voice message not working.
I record a sound file.. after sending it.. it an empty voice message.
receiver party is also receiving empty voice message.
Even I record a 10 seconds file.. its appear as 0.
even in my own screen.. it cannot playback
any idea whats the problem? n solution?

I suggest you goto Security App.

Permission>App... then set Trust This App for Whatsapp.

anyone here uses the miitalk app? is it essentially another whatsapp or a better looking version of samsung chaton? haha, and also, since our mi3s have NFC, what is it for ? will it read tags like the Xperia Series ?

some weird issue rrecently. After adding +6 to all my numbers.

In 'Message' app, it automatically remove the +60. So hp numbers appear as +60123456789. And sometimes, it still creates a new sms thread with same contact number. It's like if I sms from my contact +60123456789. When the person reply me, I will get a reply from +60123456789 and starting from a new sms thread.

And also when i reply the person, he did not receive my sms. But this problem is not consistent though. Sumtimes he can receive, sumtimes can't. Wonder if it is Maxis prob or mi3's prob. weird. Any1 experience this?

Btw I'm on Maxis and V23.

Use Google Hangout as your SMS app instead.

Tested RAW capture on Mi3, very large output ~30MB. Pic is saved in Adobe lossless format .DNG. There is no default viewer in Mi3 to view the captured .DNG. Either download 3rd party viewer or upload to pc.

Below is one of the RAW captures, unfortunately there is no pic hosting website accepting 30MB photo. Even converting to PNG format, the size is still humongous. I have to resort to HQ JPEG & resizing
