QUOTE(car_o_scope @ Dec 26 2006, 10:21 PM) Ferrari will be busy hunting for more sponsorships as they already lost the big one (Vodafone) to McLaren. I think it is McLaren which become redder and redder.. It's not that easy. Phillip Morris paid for whole sponsorship of the car, thus they are not desperate for sponsors as we might think. But this also means that they have limited sponsorship space on teh car because of this buyout

It's not. It's Phillip Morris using the Marboro brand. You're understanding of the brandings is awful I should say. and the cars will NOT change colours. Only the sidepods will be red instead of teh Johnny Walker black.

I think it was McLaren's order. Remember that they also asked Juan Pablo to be fitter before he joined them

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Jan 21 2007, 02:16 PM) Funny huh? Like Man U punya jersey. Typical Vodafone. Check put Ferrari's. A new look...they want to forget Schumi era and start a new era...Kimi's era. Actually, it's because they lost Vodafone to McLaren, thus they need to cover up that space with something else.

No, World champ will have the right of the 1st pit lane, and that forum makes no sense? Renault won the double last season, why give Ferrari the pitlane in front of them? Pit lane has always been given according to 1 - World Champion and his team 2 - The Highest constructor during the last world championship. If that constructor is the team that the World Champion is driving with, then it will be given to the constructor that finished 2nd, and so on and so forth. 3 - The same principal is used for car naming, unless the current WC decided to vacant his spot. 4 - If the current WC is not racing anymore, then the no 1 car will be vacant, and the winning constructor from last season will be given the right to use the no 0 car to pair with the no 2 car. Dude, you really need to watch F1 more.

Arrangement are made by the FIA so that the fans will not get confused. Once the car numbers are given, they cannot change the pitlane.

Sato damn stupid liao, if he knew that he's going to pit, JUST LET THE FRONTRUNNER THROUGH!!@!! AND HE DIDN'T GET A DRIVE THROUGH TO BOOT!!! WTF!!!111
Sepang and Bahrain should be a better race, if the rumours that the Ferrari is an overheating monster like Ted Kravit's claimed is true

Dude, I do believe that McLaren would have made that stop perfectly taht even if he was not impeded by the Aguri, Alonso would emerge in front of him. Ron himself admitted it in the end.

QUOTE(verx @ Mar 18 2007, 01:06 PM) Did anyone hear the commentators saying Kimi actually signed a contract with Ferrari in July 2005?! The last time i suggested it last season i was flamed for it...but even then i thought he signed it middle of last year That's why Ron was soo peeved with him, as he really groomed Kimi well liek he did with Mika. Good thing tho coz we got to see Lewis.

Fernando Alonso struck an upbeat tone after finishing a relatively distant second to Kimi Raikkonen in the season-opening Australian GP.
In truth, the reigning World Champion spent more of the race grappling with his rookie team-mate Lewis Hamilton than troubling Raikkonen, but he was nonethless content to collect a respectable haul of eight points in his first race for the McLaren team.
"It has been a good weekend, and I think we should be pleased with the final result," he commented in the post-race press conference. "Ferrari were a little bit too quick for us today so we took the maximum result. We should be pleased. For sure, we need to work a little more to win races but as I said to the team we proved today that we are here to win and not just to race."
"There is good potential in the team."
Certainly there appears to be plenty of potential in Alonso's precocious team-mate. Hamilton snuck around the Spaniard at the start of the race and held a relatively comfortable second place until being trumped during the second round of pit-stops.
"It wasn't a very good start," reflected Alonso. "I realised a little later I was fourth and from there I didn't have the possibility to push in any part, sometimes I was close and sometimes I left some space not to overheat the car.
"I was lucky to overtake him. It was a good fight."

I do believe that once Fernando knows that he cannot catch Kimi, he was content on just staying behind Lewis and just get ready to pass him on that final stop. He was quite fast after that, but he might want to save teh engine for Malaysia

I think reliability wise, this car is good, looking at the miles done in testing. If they can get the car to work with the tyre even better, then I think we have a chance to beat the Ferraris
