hehehehe! My S4 still virgin at this moment i did see the benefit for rooting it. Cause performance/ battery life is acceptable for me

If you go to Samsung, your gain is that you'll get the original Corning Gorilla glass.

If to other regular shop, they hardly give you Corning Gorilla glass, usually just normal china low quality one

Lag and battery drain? So far in term of launching apps is in acceptable speed 1 to 1.5 sec.. and battery is round SOT 4Hrs plus, for me this is consider good for a virgin phone

4.4.4 claim to be faster and use less battery but my point of view is not too high hope cause still Dalvik, wait till ART arrive then S4 will be a beast...

If the crack is not due to drop.. i will fight until they change FOC for me. but with sweet talk way la..

looking forward for lollipop to be in S4 GE.

SME set..and the shop seems like a reputable one..starting bussiness from 1975..they have 6 branch around batu pahat..thats why i bought at their shop..my wife said maybe got drop once around 40cm height..but after that the phone seems ok and still can use about 1 month..no symptom of screen problem until it suddenly became blank during charging..

Anywhere cheap to replace LCD screen for the S4? I've been quoted rather ridiculous prices as high as RM700 and as low as RM500 if from Mudah or Lelong.

According to some - requires ribbon replacement
According to some others - entire screen requires replacement

Phone's working great just no display and no cracks on screen. Screen still works once in a bit but all u see are fuschia colours haha

go buy a 2nd hand s4, bring go samsung service center, ask them to do a direct swap. charge you only labor cost.

Cant really say what is wrong with it either the whole LCD screen itself or the Digitizer. If the screen still can be turn on but the touch doesnt work then its the LCD problem. If the screen just go blank, maybe the ribbon connection or maybe the LCD burnt/spoil already.

By that time, S6 also here already bro.

Straightaway send back to Samsung for warranty and see what they say. Could be the dealer is trying to pull a fast one on u.

I need suggestion from you guys.

Take a look at first page and so on, do you guys think it needs to be clean? All those about rooting, wakelocks and xposed video explanation, in my opinion i would suggest by only putting all things regarding S4 device only.

About rooting, only put a guide for specific S4 (i9500/i9505/any other variants), for introduction about rooting, just putting a link to other sites is better i think?

I think its better to be balance, put on tutorial how to root both i9500/9505. I will write a simple guide myself later on.

If not effecting Digital part will cost you 300+-.. check this out at lowyat.. my friend change LCD for his note 2 around this price..
