Yes, I am thinking the same, they did not even check my device thoroughly. I'm thinking to send my s4 to local shop. I am pretty sure that the power button is spoiled.

aak around hand phones shops, some will try to con you and say mobo rosak also, think it's their SOP.

Does the phone respond when you plug in your charger? Like get into a screen where it shows the battery is charging? If so there might be a chance power button spoil only if you can't turn it up.

Anyway, I have sent my phone to local clinic, and he said that , apparently, my phones power ic has shot. Replacement at rm160. I dunno what has caused this, perhaps due to fast charging ? I mixed up with samsung adapter + xiaomi cable. My phone tends to get quite warm on charging.

Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 2.1A Charger. I The phone's mobo comes with a chip regulating voltage flowing into the phone itself So I dont think fast charging could cause this but rather the type of charger that you used.

I dunno, but my phone always get quite warm during charging mode. Gsam shows 38c most of the time during charging.

Adapter is the main plug right? Yes, samsung s4 white color adapter mixed with xiaomi fast charging cable.


Not sure, I wish I could know what had caused this issue so that I can prevent doing the same thing in future.

My phone is ready to be taken at 7pm. Crossfingering that hope my device is back to normal.
