Jazz is 1.3 i-dsi first batch.
City is 1.5 vtec bought this year. The tyres on the Jazz also don't look so deep inside compared to City. Perhaps the OEM bodykit abit too flaired up? |

To the uninitiated.
Jazz/City only got 3 engine variants. 1.3 i-dsi 1.5 i-dsi 1.5 vtec the displacement for the 1.3 i-dsi is quite high so it can also be round up to be 1.4 for marketing reasons. jazz used to be categorized as "mini mpv" to get lower tax. now its classed as hatchback, what it really is. |

QUOTE(mydelsol @ Dec 16 2006, 03:54 PM) YES, based on the current JPJ website on what can and cannot be done Hmmm.....if the K20A can fit in a Jazz then the 1.7 engine from the Civic surely can fit but do U think its advisable? as far as i know(in my small timid knowledge) City & Civic platforms are similar, but what abt the wirings/codes? do you know? Anyone knows of any place that do knock and paint with good workmanship but reasonable price? Not cheap coz I want good quality but I don't want cut throat price |

QUOTE(mydelsol @ Dec 18 2006, 09:32 PM) and that Jazz was NEVER approved by JPJ till tis day Jazz Dynamite is a prototype I don't think it is available here, but even if it is available why JPJ won't approve it? The K20A comes original with the car if it is from Honda.DU Tyre Service in Damansara Uptown, same row ACT/Telekom call Nicholas 0163353009, he will give U a reasonable quote, and a good job! I went to my usual mechanic and he intro me to a workshop. RM650 to spray from front fender to rear bumper, plus abit of knocking. Nothing serious but lotsa scratches |

QUOTE(fooken @ Dec 19 2006, 08:32 PM) so whats the verdict? well.....its pointless to transplant the K20A into our engine bay. you would spend more time at the workshop than driving it around? mydelsol : my bumper is normal airmaster 3G only. see pilotHans one la..CCR style. i think you should look at the powerplant in the civic. if i am not mistaken the old and new 'green' civic runs on a 1.7 and 1.8 CVT combo respectively |

QUOTE(egiewan @ Dec 20 2006, 02:23 AM) So what are you suggesting? High cams, high revving engine? Possible but gotta do a lot of work leh it is zippy as the engine is designed to give you maximum torque at 2.5k rpm.thats why when your tyres botak it is quite easy to do wheel spins but it doesn't really have any high-end power as a trade-off. really fast moving thru from 0-120kmh after that its pretty sedated. don't think you can convert it into a high revver as it is not designed to do so. |
