Good morning guys....

I know is too 'early' for me to post, but I'm lil too excited cause my Black Color City finally is available and I've been driving it since yesteday 6:30pm out from the showroom....

Then all the way non-stop heading here and there until now only I'm back to my home....

Really shock lah....

So later in the morning I will proceed for window tinting and hopefully can change my horn and other accessories as well if the time is permitted.....

After a long waiting day at VKool HQ @ SeaPark, finally I got my car tinted with combination of VKool Elite on windscreen and Protective Films on other windows.

Waiting period : From 11:30am to 6:30pm

Satisfaction Level : 98%, nothing is perfect but I need to say, they really do my car with care...

Result : Windscreen like no tint, cause Elite mah, other windows with light gold color, what to do, JPJ started their action againts illegel tinting. But the most I want is the security, cause is a 4 mil film, harder to break in.

Suppose to change my horn, get 3M floor mat, Mugen Door Visor, Sand blasting by today, but gf sis just back from oversea, so need to accompany them.

I guess I will give my car a day to rest and proceed with my plan this coming weekend....

Just back from the 1000km service. Will test my power for next Genting trip.

But my FC doesn't seem to be very good, RM70 only can last slightly more than 400km(2nd refuel).

Usually when(km) will the car fully learn my driving style and optimize the FC level?

But overall still satisfy cause the power is better than my old Plotong!!!

Finally just back from my City Vtec 1st genting trip.....

As I used to drive manual cars previously, so I really don't know the correct way to drive an AT car to genting. So I just use D at the beginning, then I try S and it seem more responsive, finally I try the 7 speed M mode, manage to overtake quite a number of cars....

But I really need advice from GURUs here, which is the proper & CVT Care way(s) to drive our City to genting? By using D mode all the way up or S mode?

Also if I wanted to use my 7speed mode during reving, when is the best RPM that should I change the speed so it won't lost the power?

Then when do we usually use the L mode?

When I come down from Genting, I use S mode & also the manual 7 speed @ 2nd/3rd speed. Feeling like manual car, but scare the CVT will rosak if I do it often.....

S mode max rpm can reach 6200rpm, what bout D mode? Same rpm as well?

Well, City is my 1st own auto car, so I really don't know the better way to drive it since all the while I drive only manual.

I know we can change from D to S mode while we are cruising, but can we change from D to L or S to L? Will it harm the gearbox?

I think I really need some brief explaination on how does the CVT function. Anyone care to help out?

My last full tank of Petronas, RM75. 20% Genting, 30% Highway, 50% City, can last me for 460km with approximate of RM 5 petrol in reserve.

Hope that the mileage can go more and more. So when will we know the ECU has fully learn our driving style?

PS: I even drift a little bit on one of the corner while overtaking another car. Feel like driving a Go-Kart back in Langkawi~

LoL~

Please to welcome you as a owner of City....

Just remember to take out your carpet and clean it daily to avoid permenant stain on it while waiting for your 3M carpet....

I just purchase the 3M carpet for my entire car(inclusive of the rear boot area) for RM150, consider quite good deal....

And once again, happy chinese new year.... Win Win Win more more more....

To 4G City Vtec Owners:

Just want to ask one thing here. Did your ride come original with the steering lock? Meaning after you remove your car key, the steering will lock after you turn a bit to left/right?

Mine is 4G City Vtec and mine doesn't come with it. Should it be like this or mine was forgotten to fit in by the factory before they deliver to me.

Help needed as I need to send my car for the coming 5K service soon.

Thanks.

Wow! To my surprised, I tested my new CITY VTEC and it really won't lock the steering ... I wonder is it I turn not enough to the lock position ?

Hi skyer:

Is your City Vtec 4G or 3G?

Beside that, any other 4G City Vtec owner aware of this issue?

Can I make a complaint to Honda and claim back the steering lock from them?

Serious inputs needed as my appointment will be on next Tuesday.

Thanks~

This is my third car, my previous 2 cars also got, some more is a Proton. But I just don't want to simply fire them.

First I was thinking maybe due to cut cost, thats why they remove it, but slowly I think again, this kind of features won't cost them much, so I think is better to make a complaint to them.

Guys, finally I figure out my City Vtec ACTUALLY comes with the steering lock. I get to know this from "dEfrAgmEntEr", so once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Ok, I bet the way my steering lock really different from others. Why? If I remember correctly from my previous ride, it shouldn't be like what I'm facing with my City now.

Normally after you take out the car key, it just need to turn the steering for 5-10 degree, then it will lock. But mine City, need to turn almost 180 degree, then only it will lock. I really never think of this way. Well, at least now I feel more secure.

But I will still voice out my feeling to SC when I go for my 5k service tomorrow and hope that they will have ways to align it into a better way.

So for those who think that their CITY does not equip with the steering lock, try to turn it more and see how.

I think that all from me. See Ya~

Already sent my car for 5k service. Complaint to them but they say it is LIKE THIS....

Nothing can be done. I'm not sure whether they are lazy to check it for me or what so ever reason, but at least I still got the steering lock. Better than none. So I guess I have to live with it.

Anyone here can recommend me a better SC with experience technician so that I can check for the 2nd time. Thanks~

So far I only tried Sri Utama @ Wangsa Maju. Even I stay at Cheras, but I was told to avoid Wegro SC, heard it was lousy....

Which one you guys usually go to?
