Saving Private Ryan?
QUOTE
Saving Private Ryan--The Facts Behind the Story
While the basic story in this film is fiction, there are a number of factual elements involved. In the story, two brothers from the Ryan family - the only children - are both soldiers sent to the ETO during World War II. One brother is killed on D-Day and the remaining brother - a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division - has been mis-dropped over Normandy and can't be found. The U.S. Army badly wants to find him and get him out of combat since he's now become the Ryan family's sole-surviving son.
There was an actual case like this that occurred in World War II but it was hardly as dramatic. On orders from the War Department, a soldier who was thought to be a sole-surviving son was actually ordered out of combat to preserve the family line. In that case, a brother had been killed in action and another brother was missing in action and presumed lost. It turns out the second brother was repatriated, but that was after the third son had been sent out of the combat zone.
Such procedures were rare but common in applicable cases in World War II as a result of the loss of five brothers of the Sullivan family when their ship, the cruiser USS Juneau, was sunk in the south Pacific. Congress passed a law (known as the Sullivan Law) after that tragic event which effectively restricted brothers from serving together in combat units and kept sole-surviving sons from assignment to a combat zone unless that individual volunteered.
He's a widower in Paris who speaks no French; she's a dance instructor less than half his age. Can they become a family, or will his estranged adult children halt the friendship?
IMDB - 6.8/10
First of all, Michael Caine plays as an American widower living in Paris? His accent doesn't even sound American. I don't agree with IMDB's rating. Overrated. Anyway, we'll move on with this movie. Character wise was decent. The story was good in the beginning but disappointing towards the end. This movie reminds me of Julie Delpy's Before Sunrise, Before Sunset and Before Midnight series but of course different storyline. If you're into drama/romance genre, this movie might suit you but be prepared for a lengthy long dialogue. Movie tips - If you're feeling sleepy, don't watch!
A former DEA agent moves his family to a quiet town, where he soon tangles with a local meth drug lord.
IMDB - 6.5/10
An action pack movie that include Jason Statham, James Franco & Winona Ryder? What more can you ask for? The action scene's were very intense and you wouldn't want to leave your seat for a second. Nevertheless there are many movies like this type but this definitely one of the best. Great movie at any afternoon! Movie tips - Damn fat boy!

A documentary exploring genre based monster art takes an odd turn when the filmmakers are contacted by a man who claims he can prove that monsters are indeed real.
IMDB - 5.8/10
I feel this movie was underrated and lack of promotion. It's a mockumentary about MONSTER whether they exists or just some fantasy. The plot was awesome and you don't want to go anywhere just to follow up the story. A few surprises along the way and superb acting especially Ray Wise (William Dekker). This movie offers something different and your perception about deformed children. It's hard for me to recommend this movie to any horror fans unless you are a true found footage fan. Go give it a try after midnight. Part 2 in the making? Movie tips - Monsters are real!
New York police officer Ralph Sarchie investigates a series of crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest, schooled in the rites of exorcism, to combat the possessions that are terrorizing their city.
IMDB - 6.2/10
Inspired by the actual accounts of an NYPD sergeant name Ralph Sarchie played by Eric Bana, this story is in different class than other stereotype exorcism movies. I enjoyed watching this movie especially the ending. Everything seems realistic and genuine. All the plots were interesting and thrilling. Demonic possession genre with a different twist. Hardcore horror fans might want to check in this movie after midnight. Highly recommended! Movie tips - 6 stages of exorcism!

Over-imaginative 12 year-old Sam heads off to the woods to summer scout camp with his pack convinced he will encounter a monster...and he does.
IMDB - 5.9/10
Are you ready for Belgium's classic summer scout camp horror story? I would welcome you a curious legend named "Kai". I think this movie offers fresh storyline although the main culprit's real intension is rather a mystery but pretty much sadistic. The atmosphere was creepy enough and horror/thriller fans might just want to give it a try. The IMDB rating is slightly overrated in my opinion but that doesn't matter much. Recommended at any given day. Movie Tips - Stick to your original camping place!

A couple's replacement babysitter turns out to be more than they bargained for when she subjects their kids to a series of twisted activities.
IMDB - 5.5/10
A classic psycho babysitter movie. Everything was pretty decent about this movie. Good acting by some of the main casts. The kids were adorable! Personally I thought the film maker could make the suspense scenes more intense and more nail biting moment but it seems limited. Overall the movie was watchable but definitely not the best thriller I've seen. There are many more better than this but good enough if you have no other choices. It seems to me that this movie was made at a very low budget. Movie tips - Stop employing new babysitter now!
Jack, a social outcast, is thrust out of his comfort zone when the outside world bangs on his door and he can't contain his violent past.
IMDB - 6.4/10
I never understood why this movie was highly rated. This is some weird freaking dark comedy horror. I never seen anything like this before as far as I remembered. Jack aka Henry Rollins played a superb social outcast role. It keeps me awake until the end as I was left figuring what was the story about besides trying to save the life of his daughter that he couldn't care less. This dude simply won't die despite so many villains trying to hurt and kill him! A vampire? A monster? An angel? For dark comedy horror fans, you might just want to try this movie out. It's related with some kind of Christian thing. Movie tips - Blood, bullets and bingo!
70-year-old widower Ben Whittaker has discovered that retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin.
IMDB - 7.2/10
Robert De Niro is awesome! Anne Hathaway is sexy adorable! This movie is perfect for comedy lovers. The storyline was great and all the casting were lively! You can really set your emotions into it and I was fully invested. Many funny scenes with some heartfelt moments. Highly recommended for those seeking a non action pact movie! Movie tips - Go For Your Ambition!
Bob Saginowski finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood's past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living - no matter the cost.
IMDB - 7.1/10
A slow pace drama/thriller. I was clueless the first half of the movie. This movie was too calm! As the plot thickens, I slowly started to understand. I don't think I can agree with the IMDB's high rating or probably will never agreed at all. This is not a bad movie with all the decent casting especially Tom Hardy aka Bob but if you are into a slow moving show, this might be the one you're looking for. Movie tips - Silence is golden!
A loving father finds a clown suit for his son's birthday party, only to realize that it is not a suit at all.
IMDB - 5.6/10
This is not a comedy clown movie. This clown is brutal! The first half was fine but suddenly it feels like a B grade horror flick. It might take a longer time to digest the storyline but nothing complicated. I don't really like Laura Allen's aka Meg acting skill in this movie. She looks too calm about everything. Overall this is not a bad movie but a fun dark thriller. Many shocking violent scenes. Horror fans might want to check it out. Your kids will never be the same again when they see a clown after watching this movie! Movie tips - No more clown for any party!

Three high school friends are forced to commit a brazen robbery which quickly goes horribly wrong.
IMDB - 5.0/10
This is a modern flick robbery movie. Viewers will experience flashback plots. Never expect a crime will go smooth and you'll never know what's coming. I enjoyed the movie and all the casting were good. I would recommend this movie and I doubt you will feel disappointed but expect nothing bad nor great. Movie tips - Get a better mask!
Two salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment.
IMDB - 6.3/10
Great comedy about working in Google. I enjoyed this movie very much. The combination of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were awesome. Both has this natural funny chemistry. Besides being comical this movie teaches us about working as a group, chasing your dream and it's never too late to learn anything. Recommended for comedy fans.
A father and son go on the run, pursued by the government and a cult drawn to the child's special powers.
IMDB - 6.9/10
The poster are wonderful. The trailer is exciting. The plot was something expected. Some human creation from another world. Yes, we have seen that before. This movie does nothing much except some typical scenes. Each time you feel the thrill, the next scene just kill that feeling straight away. The father protects his son very well but somehow I felt annoying. It's very draggy and slow pace. Midnight special is not that special. I don't agree with the IMDB's rating at all. Truly disappointed! Movie tips - Kirsten Dunst is damn old and lazy!

Mortal hero Bek teams with the god Horus in an alliance against Set, the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt's throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict.
IMDB - 5.6/10
This movie is good for 3D led tv. Superb CGI graphics. The storyline was just above average because I think I've seen something like this elsewhere. Gods is slightly taller and bigger than humans! Anyway credit where it's due for the effort the producers put into this movie. The rating is quite fair. The fight scenes were great and the message towards the end was the icing on the cake. Recommended. Movie tips - Two eyes is better than one eye!
Never play this game. Has no idea what is about. Looks like prince of persia
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Visuals were stunning, showing a side of Egypt rarely seen on the big screen (usually just pyramids & tons of sands).. I agree with your review. Except the last part... Movie tips: One eye same as two eyes.. Just need more imagination.
With one eye, his special ability was pretty much limited compared to two eyes.
True until he figured out what grandpa & pa meant when they spoke about his "Path/Journey.. Begins... ". He was able to transform into his full form with that one eye (without grandpa's help this time) and If I recall correctly, that was one of the pivotal moments in the movie..
