As much as most of us would have loved John Travolta's blockbuster movie Face/Off, this one look like your typical revenge movie. Someone took the life of the hero's loved one, that guy eventually take vengeance on evil-doers. The only big difference was he has a darn partner!? The acting was alright but some action pack looks almost unrealistic to me. I think I've have seen this plot elsewhere somewhere for sure. Anything special?

Okay this is one interesting remake of the 2003's Korean Oldboy. 20 years locked in a solitary confinement? I'm a little bit amused as how an advertising executive can transform himself into a vicious Kung Fu master? The storyline was okay but I'm questioning myself all the time, who did that to him and why? The ending was understandable although disgusting when I know the truth. I'm pretty sure after watching this movie and for those who have previously watched the Korean version of Oldboy might get into endless debate of which version was better. A movie not for kids but entertaining enuff.

If you love classic horror movie, gimme a hell yeah! It's a slow pace movie but you gotta respect the speech. If an American citizen can't fully understood their speech, how can I even with ENG subtitles? It contains heavy accent from the whole casting! What do you expect? It's a 17th century-set horror story! The plot was so confusing in the beginning mainly because of their heavy accents but as it goes on, I can finally understand what's happening! One thing positive about this movie was no bulls**t graphic was needed. The drama was real and so does the acting skills.

This movie is realistic. There's a lot of emotions in it. Every love story comes with obstacle but the question is how can you fix it. A great movie on any afternoon!

This is a thriller movie. The villain played his role quite well not to mention violent and rage behaviour. At first I thought it was some random bad guy looking to terrorised some random victim but towards the end there's a suprising motive. However, I thought the victim acted too calm and some part of the movie just doesn't make sense! I'm not sure I agree with the IMDB rating and the outcome looks typical. No good deed might be no good enuff for me. Keyword - He's a great convincing liar!

This was actually a remake movie of Jose Giovanni's 1973 "Two Men In Town" for your info. An ex convict trying to lead a normal life after given a second chance. The thing was what he did in his past related with the sheriff in town. Guess what? He murdered the sheriff's deputy! So you guys can imagine that situation but fortunately he had a strict but kind parole officer looking after him. In my opinion the title "Two Men In Town" didn't actually reflect a serious confrontation between the ex convict and the sheriff in this movie. Lack of serious intensity. It's more about the harassment and obstacle he's facing as an ex convict together with his past came back to haunt him. Overall the IMDB rating is slightly overrated but still not a bad movie on a Sunday afternoon.

This is a kickass thriller mystery sci-fi movie. I am caught between trust him and trust him not situation. John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead gave a powerful performance. I loved this movie because of it's trickiness, trivia and non stop suspense! There will be a lot of questions in your head as the movie moves forward. The ending might not be spectacular but at least the mystery in the story solved or perhaps not? I could watch this movie again! Highly recommended after midnight mood especially on a Saturday night!

In the beginning I am having difficulty to understand what it is all about. Codes & calculation etc etc etc. It took me quite a while before I finally digested. Based on the life of Alan Turing (the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence). I thought Benedict Cumberbatch played superbly in his role. However some random internet guys might argue with certain facts about the truth in this movie. He was a genious dedicated mathematician and together with his colleagues they tried to crack intercepted coded messages that enabled the Allies to defeat the Nazis. As genious as he was, he has a dark secret.

First of all I think that the IMDB rating was unfair. I personally thought this movie deserves more recognition. Based on a true story and experience of Pastor Don Piper. One rainy day, Don met a fatal accident and was pronounced dead by the EMTs but miraculously alive. No matter how strong you are in life believing something, your faith will be tested. The 90 minutes experience after the accident defines everything you need to know about faith. The story was good in the beginning so does the ending. This movie is so inspiring and always keep the faith. Everything in life has a reason. A great movie on a Sunday afternoon.

Looking for a thrill? A bunch of strange friends reunion party? Who can we trust? What's the real celebration about? Overall the atmosphere was creepy enough and so does the awkward dinner dialogue. It's quite entertaining but I'm not sure I can agree with IMDB's rating. Overrated eh? However, still a good suspense movie after midnight.

After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging to the parents of one of the victims: a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics.

100% recommendation for thrill or horror seeker fans! This movie is perfect for me. A good old fashion thriller/horror remake made popular by the original 1972's Wes Craven version of The Last House On The Left. The fighting scenes were brutal and realistic not to mention a rape scene (stay your kids out from this movie). There's something genuine and different about this movie. It's mice against cats game! A well deserved two thumbs up movie!

Another brilliant movie! I disagreed with IMDB's average rating. I personally thinks that this film deserved more positive rating. The atmosphere was very creepy, intense and the plots were smart if not brilliant. This movie reminds me of another similar movie named "Devil" where sinners will be punished! This mysterious guy played by Irish actor Liam Cunningham (look alike Jean Reno from Leon The Professional) and the rest of the cast were fantastic. On a slight disappointing note, the producers should do more suspense plot on the prisoners. Nevertheless I was left with many questions lingering in my head. Angel? Devil? God? Grim Reaper? Hell? A Must See movie for loyal mystery/thriller/horror fans!

I wouldn't say this is the worst but could be one of the most boring horror flick I've seen. Repeated scenes, unrealistic horror tension and definitely boring to death. The special effects helped the movie a lot but overall the plot was boring as the pace was very very slow. It's just like watching A Nightmare On Elm Street B grade version. Do yourself a favour if you decided to watch it, get a torchlight!

A decent B grade movie. The plot was just okay but lack of further explanation. I was left wondering UFO, alien or virus? For a low budget movie, I think I can't complain too much. The acting was fine although some of the special effect can be laughable. The brutal scenes were good. It's something like John Carpenter's The Thing but lesser suspense and decent acting. Overall if you're looking for a cheap quick thrill, you might just found it here. Do watch the extra scene after the credits. Part two on the way?

This might look like your typical husband's wife gone missing movie but trust me this ain't the same. The plots were twisted and sheer brilliant. Nick Dunne played by Ben Affleck was the perfect choice but Amy Dunne played by Rosamund Pike was at her very best. Mystery/thriller/crime movie of the century? You could repeat watching it because it's too good. Lots of sex and semi naked scenes in it so keep it reach out from children! A MUST SEE movie! Movie tips - Never underestimate a Harvard graduate!

I have a problem with this movie. It's not super dull but just plain dull. Nothing special but typical Asian taboo where you're not supposed to open something that was forbidden. I have seen lots of stereotype horror movies and this definitely joins into the list. The film location was in India which makes something positively different and the acting was decent enough especially the lead actress. The movie poster was good enough to attract horror fans but by the end of the day, it's the story that sells. The villain looks like from the ones in Predator or Jeepers Creepers! Hah! Some of the plots were pretty predictable although the ending has a different conclusion than the usual stereotype horror movies. I'm not sure if it's worth to take a peek but die hard horror fans always will. Good luck though! Movie tips - The guy with the long hair and beard is pretty annoying all the time.

This is a dialogue crime/mystery/thriller movie. You really need to concentrate what they are saying. It's a cat and mouse game. First of all how on earth James Franco and Jonah Hill become co actor in this movie? Anyway, don't get me wrong, their acting were superb! I wouldn't say this movie is A MUST SEE but good enough if you're in the mood to relax and listen. It lacks of serious intensity or suspense but just enough to ride along the plots although the end destination was disappointing. Movie tips - Mind Games!

For a low budget movie, this movie might just barely acceptable. One thing smart about this movie was the suspense. It needed you to watch this movie until the end to know what mysterious evil thing was it. So that's smart for the director to hold on the viewers from leaving their seats early as plenty of dialogue related in it. I must say that the atmosphere in this movie was good if not great although the overall acting was pretty decent. Trying something different? Try this movie.
