ZTE FB Malaysia is useless, post question there no answer, might as well dont create ZTE malaysia FB.

Keep advertise Nubia 7 series but did not say when will come to malaysia. But Z7 Max is one of the phone interested me.

Hope it come soon.
*
This is most likely due to lack of local market needs compare to other bigger such as US or India. Currently only Nubia 5S Mini, which is a trimmed down version of the Z5S Mini available officially in Amazon, and rumors of Nubia availability in India around October.

Besides I already provided you ways of getting one through facebook, which you could get through online instead of waiting only if you really like the phone.

The price is consider reasonable, which could still save couple more if order online from oversea sites. Those that want less hassle could consider getting it locally smile.gif

this is the snippet from the tnc

The items in JD's product catalog (Cell Phone, Tablets) can only be shipped to the following countries now:

United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Mexico, New Zealand, Ireland, Turkey, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Norway, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Czech Republic, Hungary, South Africa, Ukraine, Finland, Poland

Definitely it wont ship directly to Malaysia address la, as common ship to warehouse 1st then only forward back to Malaysia, where the agent kick in for such work

Can i know wht forwarder/agent u use??

A normal taobao agent which I usually associate with while purchasing stuff from taobao or tmall

As for gapps installing, it dont actually need root access for doing it. Just go find and download Z7 Max one key recovery program (一鍵Recovery), connect your z7 max to pc through usb, fire up the program and choose to temporary boot into cwm recovery mode an its done. The phone will reboot into the chinese cwm where you could navigate and install gapps from your micro sd card. Since I personally dont use apps which need root access, therefore I also didnt bother much with rooting the phone. This work for Z7 mini too, just make sure to get the correct one for your phone, and also the gapps zip file that fit your android version.

Default out of box, the phone only has default factory recovery, and wont even have gapps or root access. If your phone has those, means its not a virgin anymore when reaching you, already being molested by the reseller tongue.gif As for z7 max/mini accessories, there plenty of it over taobao. Bought a cheapo leather case, a ranvoo transparent white tpu and glass sp, total for less than 60 rmb only, which is roughly around rm30 only while doing my 1st purchase around late July.

For those which want a larger space for your system partition, it could be done through program like Paragon Partition Manager, just go google and you should able to find some answers bout it, much easier for those which could read chinese.

Too bad ZTE still dont intend to bring in the Nubia series like Huawei did with Honor. All those 5 upcoming phone are just its mid - low range phone.

Well, even if ZTE do bring in Nubia series, it might be most definitely be single sim, just like Huawei MY did with their Honor 6.
Good to know you've finally made it. Have you updated to v1.41 yet or did you install other ROMs?
*
Are you really sure that the honor 6 that will going to be release is single sim? From what I know, single sim version in China is the TD version where FDD version is dual sim.

I have a major problem with Z7 Max now... It keeps resetting my Sim / Telco connection.. Asking me to key the pin again.. Even in the middle of a conversation.. Die eh... Bought from Lazada.. So no where to claim warranty..

Hopefully I will be able update the firm ware and solve the problem..

Happy Dewalli and Happy holidays to all..

If you could read chinese, all are available in nubia official forum, with latest official rom as well as available 3rd party rom

Nubia Z7 Max/Mini Rom Compilation List

Official rom is available at the top most purple box, where you could just follow the link and should able to get the update.zip without any trouble.

Rumors that 1.52 will be released by next week smile.gif

Waste time and gas if putting hope on zte Malaysia. If want Nubia phone or even other zte model, better get it directly from China instead.

Old v5 selling for almost rm700, while I could get the new v5 max from China at 1k+ rmb, with accessories and shipping cost reaching here only rm600+ max

After updating .. i got one tiny problem... my Google play does not work anymore...  rclxub.gif

Cheers
*
No problem, as we should help each in this tiny z7 community smile.gif

After each update, a reflash of gapps is needed. If you dont root your phone to flash custom recovery like me, you could try out the following program, which the download link is available at the end of the 1st post

Z7 Max 1 Key Custom Recovery

user posted image
Once you run the program on your pc, it should show something like above screenshot, but most likely in some alien language due to language encoding problem. Make sure you have your phone drivers installed on your pc and connected to the pc while doing so

option 1 - install necessary drivers
option 2 - flash chinese recovery
option 3 - flash back official recovery
option 4 - temporary boot into chinese recovery
option 5 - flash chinese recovery in fastboot mode

choose 4 and your phone will reboot into chinese recovery, and then you could install your gapps package zip file through the cwm chinese recovery mode.

Hi,
I've just received my nubia z7 mini 2day,bought from aliexpress.
But want to ask how to know this fone support fdd lte band cos when i go to preferred network setting in settings ,theres 4 option to choose..and i dunno whichone i should choose
The other thing is at the box and the back cover of the fon it writes td lte,but when i message the seller they said its bcos it come from china, all writes like that, and the fon itself can support both td and fdd band together, not optional ..So is that true?pls help me guys...
*
I didnt have a z7 mini with me yet but I guess the phone settings should be bout the same as Max. In mobile network settings, there should be option to enable lte or disable it, where once enable, lte will be available in prefer network type, which just choose the 1st option with most network type will do.

I didnt see anything at my Max box or back of my phone with td lte there at all. The phone cover on has nubia and nubia site url at bottom right corner. Z7 series is not similar to majority chinese phone out there which separated by TD or FDD version, since the phone itself support both network type, only 1 phone release for each z7 model.

Anyone in here actually bought the flagship Z7? Mind reviewing a bit? Almost everyone i see here inside this thread are either on Max or Mini ...

Its available? From what I know its more like a paper launch and still not available up till now.

There's no official, only custom rom  v1.62 in needrom.com for z7 mini...is it ok?how to do it using recovery mode...if u dont mind to share it...me still new with all this stuff.
Can i just dwnload that rom from nubia.cn itself to pc then copy to fone...
*
For official 1.62 rom just grab it from nubia service download area
http://www.nubia.cn/service.php?sid=5

Throw it into your sd card and then select update by disk, fota wont work once gapps had been installed or rooted. As for custom rom, you need custom recovery such like cwm to flash it.

Dear sifus,

A very general question regard this n7mini,

1, i understand there is no ori local set yet...so mean, once we got it in hand, we must get it rooted and flash gapps to have play store, rite?

2, how is the lte connection? Got dropping or trouble with our main telco? Based on spec i believe it should be ok since it run 1800, 2100 and 2600 freq. but just wanna make sure cos paper spec vs reality is totally different experience.

3, how's the sound for both calling quality and loud speaker? Overall good?

I can't made up my mind between this nubia 7 mini and huawei honor 6...but based on the lte freq. I opted for this nubia...so wanna hear feedback from u all experienced users smile.gif

Thanks and cheers

1. rooting is not necessary for installing gapps. If you get from local reseller or certain international site such like aliexpress, the phone most likely is rooted and installed with gapps. If you want something brand new sealed and untouched, get from china site such like taobao or tmall.

2-3, azeem already provided you with answer. For my own usage, Maxis LTE and Umobile 3g with my Max has no problem at all. Wifi signal also stronger compare to my previous phones.

If the 0.5 inch larger aint a big deal for you, get Max instead of Mini. Between mini and honor 6, if battery life is a major concern for you, honor would be better with a larger battery size. Mini would be better if you are a flasher which like to flash rom frequently. I personally dont quite prefer onscreen home button in honor 6 smile.gif

Hi all Sifus...

Yahoo... owing this Nubia Z7 Max is really teaching me new stuff in rooting/flashing/gapps ... etc...

Yes i have successfully flashed to CM11, Thanks to all the Sifus ... notworthy.gif my Nubia is now working fine almost like my previous One+ 1...  thumbup.gif no drop calls .. notifications are coming in prompt..  rclxms.gif

just like a kid fresh from school, asking the following ...

- I have seems to have some "procedural" difficulties to switch/activate 4G (data) from SIM 1 to SIM 2 (vice versa) it will eventually work but not without some repetitive trial & error steps with changes at "Mobile Networks" & "Multi SIM" settings.. unlike the simple & straight forward steps with the previous Nubia ROM.. any tips from all?

- missed the double tap to wake up the Nubia ...

- aaaaaaa.. just curious... how to flash back to original ROM... ?  blush.gif

Cheers  icon_rolleyes.gif

Download the original ROM from Nubia site and flash it like how you flash cm lor. I lazy to flash nowadays and prefer a stable official ROM.

Just got the tempered glass sp for my Max today. Applied it myself. Did not think it was easy to do it myself but it was! Anyone fixed tempered glass on their Z7 as well?

[attachmentid=4202187]

I think its pretty common nowadays already ma, dont think anyone would still go for those film type anymore since glass sp is so darn cheap. Still got 1 more extra backup one left since I ordered 2, and 2 film type one as freebies.
