If RMB3000 = RM1810 current rate, the price not that bad considering the specs, but sked will still kena customs tax when bring in MY. For comparison, the 16GB Xiaomi Mi Note is selling for about the same price here without GST.
*
Custom tax can be avoid if you can just ignore the phone packaging by just carrying it like a used phone in your pocket, which I think limited to 2 phones only lor. But if mailing back, then different case la

Mi note is totally not worthy for the price la to be honest, just that those fans create the hype only. Just look at when the 810 version being announced, and up till now still no date for its release.

And for rm1.8k, you might as well just wait for other models such like s6, m9, g4, or even z4, which had better local support. The default price is pretty good for a 810 phone, but not after the hike up lor and weak exchange rate. Price will definitely normal back after 2-3 months later. Besides I also lazy to switch to nano sim also since my z7 max still serving me well enough smile.gif

What china phone is comparable with z9 max? Dual sim lte, capacitive buttons,  expandable memory, fm radio, nfc (optional)
Can only think of jiayu s3 advanced but the video quality macam shitty based on what i saw in utube..
*
Jiayu S3 max only can be considered as mid range phone only, how to compare to z9 max. For the moment z9 max is the only snapdragon 810 powered china phone available in the market

I plan to flash my z7 max to Android L but don't which one to choose. Suddenly so many different one coming out. For those who already upgraded care to give some review on what's working and what's not?

Thank you very much. biggrin.gif
*
For the official one, you could always refer back to the nubia.cn forum, as its already available there with some instruction set. As for 3rd party ones, google is always your best friend in searching smile.gif

I myself also havent update my phone yet as pretty busy lately + bit lazy

Bad news seems that they delay the z9 max due to production.

Guess have to look for alternative.

You could check out the new letv phone 1 pro, which powered by snapdragon 810 and 4gb ram, metal build body with ois 13mp cam, also at 2499 rmb onwards.

This model already appear quite awhile already wor, known as weiwu 3 in china. Now only appear in local market? Its just a budget model on snapdragon 615 only.

If willing to pay slight more, I think its better off with letv 1s, since its just 100 rmb more compare to this zte model in china, and thinner also

5100 mAh
Lucid PowerXtend
2.5D glass
6.0" screen
2k display
4GB RAM
128GB memory + 128GB max SD Expansion
16MP & 8MP front camera
f/2.0 aperture
All network support

All these for only RMB1999
*
Cheap is cheap but I dont have much trust on this 青蔥brand, unless you like scallion alot biggrin.gif Besides at 1999 I rather go for those more reputable brand like the z9 max or something else. 6 inch just bit more for me nowadays, where 5.5 is the sweet spot

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Dec 7 2015, 09:36 PM)
That's indeed a nice price
Bro, how do you buy from taobao for phones?

Using agent or global direct shopping since now it's available for msia?

I'm just worried it might get held up by customs in china/hk with global direct shipping or something since it's categorized as sensitive items.

Then again I've bought a few electronic items like aukey charger/4 bay hdd dock (using global direct shipping) and they all shipped here without any problems.
*
If you are lazy with those details part, just get an agent to settle for you by paying few % more extra of the total price of the goods, that how I bought my phones previously through taobao. Bought more than 10 units through agent and all reach me within a week without any problems, with the additional 5% of the total goods price.

I think I'm dying here.. Can't decide which phone to buy.. Like I said, I'm a bit sceptical on z7 max's future proof.. I read a lot of problems in the updating of the firmware.. From bootloop, imei lost, etc etc.. Can someone assure me that buying z7/z9 is worthwhile... Please help!!!!
*
What of price for z7max now? I think the model should be discontinued already and replace by the z9 series. To be honest there alot more options available now rather than z7 series, even though I still using z7 max now myself for 1 year + already. So far never had any problem on firmware updating, which unless you do it the wrong way only, due to some version might need the nubia updater tool to upgrade where some just can flash directly with recovery. As long you read properly before update, nothing will goes wrong, at least I never had any boot loop myself or imei lost before, and I just use the official firmware only

z9 is a pretty good option, since with some slight price cut now, its more affordable. If you budget allows, you can even get the z9 classic which currently at 2499 rmb, bezel-less phone.

They keep giving a variety of names just for the same model
Really hope they give proper international rom for this version since I see a lot complaints regarding the default roms that comes with it on xda

Have you tried letv 1s?
*
Those variety model name I think is given by those seller only, as its all the time known as weiwu 3 from what I know. Its predecessor is hong niu aka red bull, which change to this weiwu now. And this budget model range is supposed to be available in china only, so reliability of those 3rd party rom I really not sure.

Havent try letv 1s, but read quite some reviews on it and quite positive so far. Stop buying for taobao quite awhile due to the weak exchange rate. Installing google services in letv phone is pretty easy, all needed is just a google installer tool only, which wont need to flash or root. The big plus is the letv streaming channel, which is good for those which like to watch show or live stream through the free stream channels on their phones. And according to letv, they wont make phone with less than 3gb ram, so will be better for those which looking for large ram phone at affordable price.

Some how I'm trying to avoid SD810. Too famous for its overheating issue. To me Z7 Max @ RMB999 on 12.12 is the best option. I'm still using it and no complain, no problem with firmware upgrade. (Flash using recovery, reboot and flash GApps, SuperSU)
Or if you can wait then just wait for Z11. smile.gif
*
Now only rmb999? then is indeed quite a big drop. I thought its already fully phase out and replace by z9 series. I still using it too and no complain, been using it since last year July till now.

And its not me who had hard time deciding which model to get, its hariznordin. For that kinda price, the direct contender now is the helio x10 based phone.

Bro, I'm actually not keen on buying new.. I'm swapping my s5 only.. Kindly advise...

If you using s5 currently, I dont really see the needs of changing to z7 max unless you want a slight bigger screen only

I see, 1212 sales and most likely stock clearance for older model. Just did a check and found that cheapest can go down to 959 and 759 rmb for mini from a 2 crown seller

*
Ohh that would depends on your budget then. Z7 mini also wont be a bad choice at 700+ rmb with snapdragon 801 as well. Not sure how much it would be in local though now

For newer model, sub 1k or around 1k rmb phones are mostly powered by snapdragon 615 or helio x10 now.

This is my scenario.. I'm having an s5,plan to (swap only) with a dual sim dual standby lte phone (sim 2 also lte).. Want the specs should be equal or better than my s5..Thx again in advance
*
Mostly dual sim phone available now will be both sim capable of lte, just that only one could activate at a time (dual standby). So in the end is depend on your budget. Both the z7 max and mini also running on snapdragon 801, where mini one is slight slower in term of cpu speed only, small screen, battery size and storage. Snapdragon 615 based phone is not that recommended as I dont think its on par with the older 801. Helio x10 will be the fastest available from mediatek for the moment.

In the end is all bout your budget, and if you want get those available locally or bought in directly from china. If you decide to get from taobao directly, there will be more variety of choices as compare to what available from local dealer.

I think you need to check out on your firmware version 1st, then you could go to need rom site to grab some all in one tools and older rom to slowly upgrade back to the more recent firmware. Instructions are all available there as well.

How much did they charged you bro?
*
Different agent charges differently and exchange rate also might slight vary, agent charges is usually 10% of your total item cost. Sensitive item usually will add another rm20-rm30 additional on top.

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Jul 12 2016, 07:47 PM)
Which version is that?
4gb or 6gb ram version
*
2099 definitely is the 4+32gb version lor, where the 6+64gb is 2499 over lemall site, but will need to wait for bout 2 months even with pre order. The new gold and silver 6+!128gb had already been stop even in lemall site, which suppose to sell at 2799 rmb

The 6+64gb can be found in Tmall for slight marked up, starting 2599 rmb

QUOTE(cjlai @ Jul 12 2016, 07:54 PM)
The charges are quite standard. No need sirim & taxes right?
*
Nope never pay extra so far after getting 15-20 phones from taobao/tmall (just received 2 le 2 sd652 on monday), which unless you parcel is detained, that I wont guarantee anything since never happen on me before. You can just look in the service notice board section to find an agent to help you with the order.
