Hi there, I've got a small issue with my registration process for FFXIV. I played the Steam trial on a U.S. server (Sargantas) for two weeks. Now I'd like to transfer my trial account to the regular service. Therefore, I have bought a product key + 30 days included (EU). However, when I want to enter my registration code, it says it doesn't match my U.S. account. I actually live in Euope, but I wanted to play with an American friend. Is there any option to change my account's region? I am unable to change worlds and cannot activate my account. I have already submitted a ticket to ask the support center for help, but I haven't received a reply yet. Thanks in advance.

Wait, your Steam is US but your SE account is europe? How come you can even play the trial o_O?
If that's not the case(assuming you're using US SE account), then you should've bought the game(product key) from US SE account in the first place.
It's general rule of thumb that your steam, SE account & your game must be the same region.

I am not sure if I am correct or not, but US or EU account does not matter as you can pick any server in the game even JP as well. The one that matter is which data center u pick , closest to ur country .
