Correction: SAVVY IS NOT A 3-star NCAP neither is MyvI. Myvi is not boon or passo. We should take the actual result as a reference not to base the car on other cars.

SAVVY'S NCAP actual result IS NOT OUT yet... a 3-star car mentioned by car mag is just a basis for the car's potential to achieve a minimal ratings for a car with good safety features..

Many journalists have said Savvy has better ride & handling than Myvi...I think this is virtually agreed by all.

Savvy's chassis is tough from the inside frames to exterior panels. It uses some kind of special steel with rigidity almost equivalent to a Rover75. It's the toughest Proton car to date even tougher than Proton's latest hot looking car, the Satria NEO.

I'm 5'9'', 175cm, I find the interior space is reasonable. More spacios than Kelisa and PIcanto. Still find it strange people complaining about space when I feel the rear leg room is pretty big, even if you drive like ah beng with steering far from your shoulder.

If you can't base something with the same platform, same safety features, same body rigidity and same engine to get the same NCAP result, then I have no idea already... Besides, It's already seen in many pictures that the body of the MyVi is very strong even compared to Savvy (Cept for side impact to a tree)

And Savvy is already claimed by Proton to be 3 stars complient by their own design. And usually designers base their assumption via calculations and comparison to their own product range. Which is quite seldom wrong. Unless of course, Proton was being humble (Waaaaaaaa!!!!)

And handling is no doubt Savvy better... I said No doubt it's better.... and I also said... with a few bars added to MyVi (Yalah, stock is shitty), MyVi can still outperform a normal saloon's handling. Even seen Myvi drift cars before with my own eyes.

PS: I'm mistaked about K-Car category then. Was being told by K-Car club member that MyVi is a K-Car last month.

n305er, i think that you should understand by now that hypermount IS a proton fanboy.
seriously dude, myvi, boon, and paso are jointly developed by toyota, daihatsu and perodua. though i'm not sure which part did perodua played, designing the emblem perhaps laugh.gif tongue.gif

i'm about 5"10 (178cm) - i just had went to PE the other day to sit in the Savvy again.

the driver part is fine, i can drive comfortably. smile.gif however i can't fetch myself, but of course this is normal. i can't fetch myself when i'm on a Satria either, NEO or not. smile.gif

what i did was adjusted the driver seat to my comfort, then go to the backseat - the one behind the driver.

yup it's cramped. i have to open my legs. my head is near the ceiling and all.

the rear leg room is small. i sat comfortably on a Myvi but not a Savvy.

however i've no problem getting a Savvy cos if ever people sitting at the back, it'll be my parents or in-laws which they're not as tall or as big a build as i am. smile.gif

(i think i've mentioned this earlier but i'm going to mention this again)
i've considered both Myvi and Savvy. i'm inclined to choose Savvy for the following reasons
1. lesser people drive, see so many Myvi around. bored already.
2. AMT
3. cheaper (with AMT some more)
4. it looks nice with R3 kit, and i don't have to find shops to rice it up for me already
5. it's ugly to most people, so lesser in demand and less likely stolen (ok la this reason sounds a bit dumb. LOL.)
6. nice FC

Good handling to me is :
Taking a 180deg. corner in 3rd gear at min.90km/h and with very min. body roll.
Best spot to try is downhill from Jln.D'sara heading towards Jln.Duta.

180 degree corner.... is U-turn ler.....

there is one corner, from kesas to get on to the elite highway....
a kancil can whack that corner at 90 km/h also...

i think we have got it all wrong about what exactly is comfort..

spaciousness is not the only factor

the ride quality does make a major difference

too much body rolls can make you feel nausea.

Mostly what I said is what I had experienced...I saw many passengers of those big MPVs vomiited by the roadside along the winding roads of cameron highlands

then does the rear passengers complain about ride bumpiness even at hi speed PLUS highway?!

savvy excels in this area the ride is firm yet comfortable.

you ask yourself.
