Since when FNF became a kiddos' sub forum?

Both are great cars, why argue about it? The VW does not completes the MB and vice versa.

By the way I agree on everyone is entitled for their own opinion. Don't force it to someone if you don't agree with it.

Last week, one SA from Hap Seng Star whatsapp me that the waiting period has been reduced to 1 month.

Oh please... why are you guys even replying in this thread if LYN FnF is for kids. And what is the point for a poll function in forums? LYN is the biggest online community in Malaysia, not biggest kids' community in Malaysia. And please do give a FACT & prove now that most LYN FnF users do not own or drive a car. Sick of these name callings & accuse of others not owning this car & that car... now you are a kid & I'm an adult, what is next? I am a king & you are a slave?

And heck, nobody is even saying the GTI is a bad car. Just that with the speed performance (even so a small margin) aside, it loses to the A250. However with such maturity level in your replies, only kids reply this way when they lose in a debate.
We have no prove and fact for that. And let's say there is a margin of error of 15%, still the poll results favored the A250.

just because the poll results favour a certain car doesnt mean its a better car. If we based cars on poll results or number of buyers, then Vious is the best car in Malaysia.

Theres nothing wrong with liking the A250 more, or the GTI more...but you cant say "See..Poll supports my choice..its FACT!"

We all post in Malaysia biggest online forum with a polling thread, the result is indeed factual. What is the problem with that? Yea you can argue its accuracy but think again, what kind of accuracy and what do you expect from a poll asking the members who prefer which car more? It is just preference of oneself, and for this case the A250 has the upper hand.

Nobody is saying A250 is better than GTI in all aspects and rule the world. On the other hand, name calling, degrading one's opinion in the poll and forcing others to accept his/her preference is way worse in nature. Everybody is entitled for their opinion in such a thread.

You tested both on the track?

I have and the A250 is way behind the Golf GTI Mk7 in terms of timing (stock vs stock). But again track performance is not something a lot of people consider when buying cars (maybe for the hard core folks). It doesn't take a genius to know that the GTI will go faster than the A250 around Sepang because the GTI has more power on wheel and the car is lighter than the A250.

I still prefer the looks of the A250 over the Golf GTI.

ya, very true. each car has own advantages and especially in the look appeal department...most important is what you want.

the GTI is a better performance all rounder than A250 and better daily comfort ride (I dont have to own both to know lol) ...but I dont really like Gti MK6 n mk7 design save for mk5, garang looking but shape stil slightly submissive for me...

I buy car based very much on looks, -yes very shallow- but I look at it everyday, so...
and partly A250 interior way better to me.

The incentive part for me is the branding association and anything that goes with it i.e service, perhps coffee lady lol (not necessarily the MB status, ie. I dont like BMW), provided u can sit on a firmer ride everyday, take the A250 it's ok.

just like daily ride is integra, evo, subaru is acceptable then go ahead.
integra less power, better FC for Evo power but high FC.
If comfort is priority, then the Gti but I wouldnt sacrifice the striking A250 looks for Gti comfort. Else, get a Lexus IS350 F sport that got comfort and look but weaker on power

The examples are endless. life is about compromise. there is no perfect package. Dont let ppl determine your taste otherwise u got no taste biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

How about the ride comfort, reviews stats that the Merz is quite stiff and harsh and is not suitable for daily drive. How true is that? Is it that bad?

ride definately more stiff but if you want to go for brand and image
definately its the mercedes but overall a better track c ar would be a golf gti

Actually all in all, I think the best is TS go test drive it himself. If i have the money rm2xxK I wont be wasting time here asking this kind of question. If i have d brain to have rm2xxk, im sure I'm the Kind of person who is clear of what I wan especially in a car, surely is smarter than majority lol and already testdrive both cars umpteen time.
Secondly, every one have different tolerance. Once u warm up to the cars, your heart clearly know what it wants ady..

Edit: Once testdrove, baru la open this thread discussing ur limbo of which to get . Imo, Thread input is 20-40% of your decision making

The comfort of A250 is good enough, but don't compare to C Class. Compare to A200, A200 stiffer due to it's run-flat tyre... On paper, the performance between A250 and GTI more or less same. But GTI more aggressive, A250 softer...

I definitely go for merc A250 smile.gif

If Mercedes really want to use the A250 to compete with the Golf GTi, will still think that the selling price will close to the Golf GTi?? At least the price will well above RM300k. Mercedes never intend to compete with GTi, that's why the output power is lower.

Personally, I like A250 more. Why?
Performance wise, GTi definitely better.
Look wise, A250 better. tongue.gif

I'm just guessing la....i think the A250 is made to really compete with the gti, in fact, is to fill the segment that MB didnt have. VW popularize that segment with its Gti so MB wants to chip in a share as well hehe...

The price i think is to make Gti a runs for its money....the MB brand itself is worth 300k above d, so why price the A250 so affordably 200k ish? so can stray some ppl away from Gti, clearly to compete with Gti...also by using relatively less quality mterial in its A250.

Just personal opinion...

2xxk get a new 2015 WRX lo...boot can smuggle two sweet young thing from thailand across the border...

A250 will be much easier to maintain

while GTi will be a more complete package, value for the price you paid
