Since when 99 Speedmart accepts AMEX?
*
QUOTE(victorywp @ Nov 25 2014, 04:22 PM)
not to say amex, they don't even accept visa/master for phone reloads.

by the way, reload tng? they got tng machine?

from tng website, listed many reload places in Klang, but only for klang. i guess maybe because of the launch of 100% electronic payment at there.
anyway, from the list (http://www.touchngo.com.my/WebLITE/Applications/news/uploaded/docs/Reload%20Locations%20in%20Klang.pdf) include mydin and 7-11, allso 99speedmart, so wonder if all of these reload service can use creditcard.
i seldom buy things in 99speedmart so never know it not accept creditcard or even amex la.

Wondering anyone had tried it? I just reloaded RM100 at highway just now, coming back found this post after realizing my Wise card is approved.

Hey guys, I just cant seem to figure out how the rebate works. Can someone kind enough to explain to me? I know I am stupid. sad.gif

To my understanding, use credit card to reload my TnG can get RM10 cashback, and the listed places are the places I should go for it I want to get rebate.

However, some are charging 50 cent for reload service. So basically I earn RM9.50 instead right?

And is there any minimum limit that I have to reload before I could entitle to get rebate? And it has to be credit card? What about debit card?

Let me give u an example :

Using MBB2 amex on weekend give 5% CB + 5x TP (2% CB additional)

You reload TnG in Jaya Grocer on weekend : RM200, so

RM200 - RM14 (7% CB) + RM0.50 service charge = RM186.50

So conclusion, you got RM200 value in ur TnG card for paying only RM186.50.

You think worth it or not compare to pay by cash?

Sorry but I don't really understand some shortcuts. I know CB is Cash Rebate. What about TP? Trade Points? Or?

Yeah I have been planning to apply MBB2 Amex already, it's just a matter of time for now. I usually reload my plusmiles TnG @ Watson outlet. They do not offer any sorts of promotions beside the earlier one right?

So only certain credit cards are entitle to further discount. What about the debit cards? And is there any minimum amount that I have to reload to entitle for the rebate if I have the MBB2 Amex?

TP means treatpoints for maybankard user.

For Maybank2 American express card, every RM1 you spend can get 5 Treatpoints.

Every 12500 Treatpoints can redeem for RM50 voucher.

So 12500 treatpoints = 12500 / 5 = RM2500 of spending

RM50 / RM2500 = 2%

Conclusion is 5x TP give u additional 2% Cashback in other forms of reward.

EDIT :

I saw that u are using plusmiles card too, plusmiles card give u additional CB.

For every RM1 spend = 1 points, with total 1000 points in plusmiles card for selected tolls, you get RM10 back, or another 1% Rebate

If your monthly usage is above RM100, you give 5% rebate but no accumulated points.

Hence MBB2 amex + plusmiles can get from 8% - 12% cashback monthly. drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif

Okay, I kind of get the whole idea now. So now the question, how do I get the rebate? Instant or every month when the CC statement comes to me?

I hardly get to spend more than RM100 since I only go through Batu Tiga Toll, which is the Subang <> Shah Alam, RM2.20/day on weekday. Weekend go out with gf, never use any selected tolls also. laugh.gif

ok good, batu tiga toll is one of the toll that u can accumulate point in ur plusmiles.

the cash rebate for maybank is automatically reflect in ur card statement every 1st or 2nd day of the month.

If you spend RM1000, RM50 rebate show in your statement.
If you spend RM600, then RM30 rebate
So it will rebate how much u swipe during the month.

Maximum capped at RM50 per month or RM1000 spending per month.

Regarding this, do I need to reload at RM50 or RM50.50 so that I can enjoy rebate from Hong Leong Wise?

Paragon or Sunway? I asked the Paragon one yesterday. My last reload was last week and I have reloaded 50 and 100 before. No minimum requirement. But now they said cash reload only.
