1. I have been extremely happy for my Lenovo T420, but it's a tad bit slow, and the battery is all but dead.
2. Depends what I get for the money. I'd rather spend 4000 on a great laptop that fits my needs, than spend 3000 on one I will regret, or wish was better.
3. I do a lot of photoshop/illustrator work. I also like to play the occasional modern game, so it would be great if it could run modern games.
4. 13"-14".

Add on:
If it had an SSD that would be great! It shouldn't be too heavy, since I carry it around a lot.
I had a look at the Razer Blade 14", and it would be perfect, except that it is insanely expensive, and I don't really need a resolution that high. A full HD screen (preferably with no glare) is enough.

I walked across these: Gigabyte P34G v2 and U24F/U24T, and was also looking at the Lenovo laptops, but I can't seem to figure out what is available in msia.

It's too big, and the battery time is really bad on it - probably because of the screen.

But a good suggestion, thanks :-)

Hi guys! biggrin.gif

1. Preferred Brand: Dell 1st, Lenovo 2nd
2. Budget: Below 1500
3. Usage: Microsoft Office (spreadsheet) and accounting
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14/15 inch
5. Weight: No concern (will sit on table for office use)

if say very cheap, warranty still want max 3 years?

1. Preferred Brand: Alienware or etc
2. Budget: Around 3000-3500
3. Usage: Long term usage throughout the day for office, browsing internet, Gaming (quite limited really, maybe more power hungry games only in future like dying light or battlefield not sure)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 17 inch
5. Weight: Totally don't care

I want this only because I believe better cooling = better life span considering I'm not really going to spam games on this, have my desktop for that.

I know this price only older models or refurbished but must have warranty (extendable). Now looking into M17x R4. Any suggestions? Looking into upgrading the 1TB HDD 5400 rpm to 7200 rpm or SSD... What do you guys think? As long theres like 150-200 gb left for free space I happy boi

1. I have been extremely happy for my Lenovo T420, but it's a tad bit slow, and the battery is all but dead.
2. MAX rm 5000.
3. I do a lot of photoshop/illustrator work. I also like to play the occasional modern game, so it would be great if it could run modern games - meaning it needs to have a dedicated card, or an HD5000.
4. 13"-14", no bigger than that. Also want to keep it around the 2kg mark.

Add on:

I saw that many recommend the Alienware 14, but since I also use this for work, I can't arrive with an Alienware design laptop.

Hello Everyone,

Please recommend me the cheapest notebook to play Diablo 3 with High Graphics.
Thank you. Budget below RM2000.

Currently contemplating the HP Pavilion 14:
Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
• Intel® Core™ i5-4210U Processor (1.7GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
• 4G 16000 DDR3L x1 (2 Slots)
• 1TB (5400RPM) hard drive
• NVIDIA® GeForce® 830M Graphics with 2048MB of dedicated video memory
• SuperMulti DVD Burner
• 2–year local warranty includes 1–year limited international warranty (parts/labor/carry-in);
1–year limited Warranty on primary battery
RM 1999

Any other recommendations?

Current laptop spec:
Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG

have been using this laptop for more than 3 years, thinking to buy a new laptop with gaming spec

1. Preferred Brand: MSI or Lenovo or Illegear
2. Budget : Around 4k
3. Usage : Casual Gaming (FPS mostly & no online gaming), daily usage for works, movies and internet
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : Easy to carry & not heavy as I'm commuting with motorcycle, not more than 15.6"(max)

I already choose some models, so which one is better?  hmm.gif

- MSI GE60 2PE Apache Pro
- MSI GX60 3CC Destroyer
- Lenovo Y50-70
Just wanted some opinion, it is worth it to buy either one of this spec and which one is better? Of course, the price is up to 6k which is out of my budget...  yawn.gif

- Illegear RS-15 (i7-4710MQ & Radeon R9 M290X)
- MSI GT60 2PC Dominator (i7-4800MQ & NVidia GTX 870M)

Hey Hakim,

Between the 2 MSI models, it really depends on whether you prefer AMD or Intel CPU. But one of the advantages of the GX series is the support for Eyefinity display.
http://www.amd.com/en-gb/innovations/softw...ogies/eyefinity

Maybe you should compare the GPU benchmarks and see which one suits your FPS game titles better? (i'd suggest the Eyefinity if your game supports it though thumbup.gif )

One thing you might like about the GE60 is that it has a SteelSeries keyboard that can program macro keys and customisable lighting. I think 'Carn' from Team Fnatic did a review about the SS keyboard.
