hey thivaakar, just curious.. what was wrong with Acer?

Anyways, for your budget and screen size requirement there is a MSI Gaming Notebook with 17.3" screen within your budget.

MSI GP70 2PE Leopard - SRP3,299
Intel i7-4710HQ processor and Nvidia GT840M GPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Not as many features as the GE series (MSI GE70 with 17.3" screen cost 4k+) but it has an extra mSATA HDD bay for you to upgrade with SSD.

Another option is to invest in the GE60 2PE with a better GPU, Nvidia GTX860M with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM. Smaller screen at 15.6" but the notebook has 4k output via HDMI so you can set up a larger screen in your studio.  thumbup.gif

Plan to buy a new low-end laptop

1. Preferred Brand: N/A
2. Budget: RM900 - RM1100
3. Usage: No Gaming, just surfing internet, MS office, watch 1080p video and audio.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 13.3 or 14
5. Other requirement: 4GB RAM

So after i research myself, i found below 2 models:-
(i) ASUS # X451MA-VX117H/118H # N3520 #4GB RAM # 500GB # 14" # W8 @ RM1090
(ii) ACER # E5-411-C6YR/C4TN # N2940 # 4GB RAM # 500GB # 14" # W8.1 BING @ RM1090

Both same price, ASUS have better processor but actually is 8 months older model (i mean processor, not the laptop).

But ASUS warranty service center have really bad reputation, made me really concern a lot. ACER warranty service seems better a bit.

Can Sifu here give me some suggestion?
