Hey bro, would like to suggest the MSI gaming notebook below.

GE60 2PL Apache - SRP3,399
i7-4710HQ processor with 1TB of storage at 7200rpm speed.
And the GTX 850M GPU from Nvidia should handle your games pretty well. 2GB of DDR3 RAM if i'm not mistaken.

A slight upgrade from that would be the MSI GE60 2PC Apache. Cost more at SRP3,799 but GPU is GTX 850 with 2GB of DDR5 RAM and more features on the notebook. Backlit rainbow keyboard FTW!!

Hey dude, can recommend the MSI gaming notebook below for you to consider.

GP60 2PE Leopard at SRP2,699
Comes with Intel i5-4200H and Nvidia GT840M GPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Just slightly over your budget but it comes with an mSATA upgrade slot for future SSD additions. Worthwhile investment for the future man. Faster start up and access speeds.

Good Day sir. I would like a suggestion for a laptop with the following requirements.
1. Preferred Brand : Anything but Acer.
2. Budget : about 3-3.5k
3. Usage : For design purpose(labview, solidworks). able to play fps games will be great too. biggrin.gif
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: as big as it can be within budget
5. Weight: heavy or light is no issue.
*
hey thivaakar, just curious.. what was wrong with Acer?

Anyways, for your budget and screen size requirement there is a MSI Gaming Notebook with 17.3" screen within your budget.

MSI GP70 2PE Leopard - SRP3,299
Intel i7-4710HQ processor and Nvidia GT840M GPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Not as many features as the GE series (MSI GE70 with 17.3" screen cost 4k+) but it has an extra mSATA HDD bay for you to upgrade with SSD.

Another option is to invest in the GE60 2PE with a better GPU, Nvidia GTX860M with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM. Smaller screen at 15.6" but the notebook has 4k output via HDMI so you can set up a larger screen in your studio. thumbup.gif

Hey Reckoning,

You should consider saving cost and get a notebook with a smaller screen and invest in a monitor with accurate color reproduction. You can consider the MSI notebooks below as they all have 4k output to as many as 2-3 additional monitors. (depending on which model lah)

Another plus is that the MSI notebooks all come with Anti Glare screens so that helps when photo editing.

MSI GP60 2PE - SRP2,999
Intel i7-4710HQ and Nvidia GT840M GPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

MSI GE60 2PC - SRP3,799
Intel i7-4710HQ and Nvidia GT850M GPU with 2GB of DDR5 RAM.
This is slightly more expensive but has a few more features compared to the GP series and the GPU uses DDR5 RAM.
I think some retailers are doing promo on this model but forgot which outlet in KL.

Happy Hunting!
