Notts County complete Roy Carroll deal

NOTTS County have signed former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll on a one-year deal.

The 36-year-old Northern Ireland international goalkeeper will be the Magpies' new No.1, replacing Bartosz Bialkowski, who left Meadow Lane this summer.

Carroll will now make his league debut for Notts against Preston North End in their first game of the new League One season on Saturday.

Confirming the deal, Notts said in a statement: "Notts County Football Club is delighted to welcome Roy Carroll to the squad, after the former Manchester United and Olympiakos goalkeeper agreed a one-year contract at Meadow Lane.
