The 36-year-old Northern Ireland international goalkeeper will be the Magpies' new No.1, replacing Bartosz Bialkowski, who left Meadow Lane this summer.

Carroll will now make his league debut for Notts against Preston North End in their first game of the new League One season on Saturday.

Confirming the deal, Notts said in a statement: "Notts County Football Club is delighted to welcome Roy Carroll to the squad, after the former Manchester United and Olympiakos goalkeeper agreed a one-year contract at Meadow Lane.

3 CBs looked nervous, stop lobbing the ball up and wait for opening in midfield or fullbacks.

Ashley has to be more defence minded coz he's got STerling to jaga, so we cannot expect him to run riot on the wings...

Shaw is doing just ok i guess

Ander and Fletch needs to ask for ball and do the passing and spreading to the flanks

Mata has to make himself more available, ROoney and chicha come down more to pick up the ball...

man to man, we should be good enough to win this match. I'm sure LVG would make some gameplan changes for 2nd half. all the vidal and hummels thingy, should be added strength but right now for this match, we have the team to win it. just gotta exploit their weakness, come on lvg smile.gif
