Yes, both sim slot are 3G enabled and like a few here have mentioned only one sim will be 3G and the other 2G.

Example
Sim 1 - 3G, Sim 2 - 2G
Sim 1 - 2G, Sim 2 - 3G

Thanks

by logic only one at a time...
it will use whichever number that you register it 1st when it ask for your phone number.

because my wife whatsapp still using old number while her tab already change to a new simcard with different number....

whatsapp is like that, you need to manually change the number in whatsapp setting. If not, whatsapp will detect the old number regardless of whatever sim you put in your smartphone.

i see. so what the difference ar in spec, are the AP set using qualcomm instead of intel?
and one more thing if i buy AP set, will i have the automatic update from asus for their hardware?
*
not much, you'll get 1.6Ghz zf5 for ori set while AP set has different variation with a maximum of 2.0Ghz. the chipsets is basically the same whether you get AP or Ori depends on the model (ex: a zf5 LTE will get qualcomm snapdragon 400 instead of intel atom and clocked at 1.2Ghz.) I dont think you'll get auto update from Asus for AP set but it dont matter because it is soooo easy to manual update.

so.. see your budget la.. if you want cheap then AP is the way to go but if money is not a problem to you then get oppo find 7? thumbup.gif

I think he should go for 32GB.

Unless ASUS has a way to make external SD (minimum class 10?) to behave like an extension of internal storage, becoming 8GB+external instead of the old Y:8GB, Z:64GB, because when 4.4.4 hits with ART, those like us with 8GB ROM will get f***ed up real bad.

No need buy AP set already, DD has now local unit at only RM709; http://www.lelong.com.my/asus-zenfone-5-lt...7-01-Sale-I.htm

Price difference is worth paying for seeing that it's a local warranty unit!

Wah ZF5 users... damn jialat wey.

I wanted to buy ZF5 when it first came out, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM.

Now 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM going for RM509, and LTE going for RM709, aper ni Asus?!  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif Early adopters of the RM599 1GB RAM 8GB ROM surely very unhappy eh!  rclxub.gif

Asus is using a slash and burn strategy. Everyone who buys in will get burned as they move on to the next model just mere months after they released the last one rclxub.gif doh.gif I mean this is beyond stupid. All of us Zenfone 4 users would have gladly waited for the 4.5 if we had known about it. But no. They just had to announce it the month after we got our original Zenfones...which in itself was superseded by the 1600mAh version before the Zen 4.5 8MP version arrived. I mean for RM50 extra we could have gotten something we would have been truly satisfied with. Instead we were conned into preordering something that would arrive a month later than what we were promised and we had no way to get refunds in the meantime. Imagine our surprise and disgust when Asus announced the Zenfone 4.5 while we were holding the Zenfone 4 which was still warm from the factory (figuratively lah tongue.gif )

Definitely over an hour. It takes at least an hour to charge my 1200mAh Zen 4 so it should take a lot longer than that to charge a Zen 5.

ASUS's management of internal and external SD is very basic, like those you get on Froyo/Gingerbread devices.

What happens is that you have a primary and slave, just like how it was in Linux PCs. (after all Android is a version of Linux)

If you look into other cases, such as Samsung, they have managed to make the internal and external storage combined as one, not separate as 2 drives, or in some cases, "exchange-able". Which means,

if I install anything in ASUS, I have to prioritize between what apps can be switched to ext.SD, and what has to remain in internal SD. (apps like FaceBook, WhatsApp, needs to be installed in internal SD only, or else will have issues [so they insist]). In this practice, my phone for example, is still 8GB & 32GB storage.

But if I install it in a Samsung, semua jalan. That's because the phone recognizes the storage as part of the storage, and therefore it doesn't bother to really make distinction. Therefore in theory your phone isn't a 8 + 32 / 8 & 32 GB anymore, its a whole 40GB (because that's how it reads itself as it is)

There are ways that other phones have enabled "swap external SD as internal SD" which is great, but I don't see it happening with ASUS phones, and I don't think Class 10 XXX (forgot the code name) SD cards will cut it to be a proper storage.

I'm not sure since I haven't bought a Class 10 ultra fast card yet, (i do have one but its in my BlackBerry Z10, and for very good reasons why since that's my primary phone, as a phone, not as a consumption device) but the other class 10 cards (i would not know if its a imitation, I have no means to find out) just won't cut it, for example every time the phone boots up, I have to wait up to 2 minutes for the "greyed out" apps to load (because its installed in the External SD. Maybe a class 10 ultra fast card will help make it look like "normal", as in no "grey out icons", but I'm not sure.

On top of all of that above, consider the fact that currently ART's install size will be bigger than the current Dalvik we have. If you look at FB, it has 23mb apk, install size of I think 70++mb, and it will be bigger when its fully converted into ART, come 4.4.4 (kit kat), and the card's format has to even change to fully utilize the speed (but then again, bigger installation size!) and people like us who are stuck with an 8GB sized internal ROM, are... f***ed up real bad by ASUS.

What happens when you've been saving files and installing apps into your 8+32GB storage and you pull the 32GB card out?
Won't some apps or files get "broken"?

As far as I understood the one ROM they did for Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note3 (which had this feature. not sure about now), its actually quite safe to remove the SD card, but don't do it when lockscreen, because it will freeze the phone. Otherwise, as far as I'm concerned from whatever little I know, the installer would not install pieces in two different disks, but will still report the storage as one combined (kind of neat if you ask me, except in a very secured environment like where I need to be on full security measure, such a device would have to be locked out and cannot be brought in LOL)
