true also n always get a seat anyway no newsflow of land acquisition etc of this LRT3.. i do hope tht the selangor govt works closely with Prasarana.. this project is VERY critical fr shah alam ppl (Sec 7 until 13) who currently use KTM to work in KL whrby they mus drive to batu 3 or shah alam KTM on the other side.. the klang side of the LRT line will cover the MAIN road of klang with dense pop of young pipu.. Kelana jaya many of those apartment also walking distance to persada plus which is imp!

Highest ridership stations will be: Stadium Shah Alam, Sri Andalas, one Utama with these stations having above 100k ridership perday!!

packages will be given out by Q1 2016 n work will start then n finish by aug 2020.. looking at existing LRT progress i give them 6-12 months extra la.. if it was MCM Gamudas or UEMs i CONFIDENT with the end product n the timeline !

Hope this project will boost Klang Town again as so pitty that I was driving around there about 9pm+ and feel the town is like a dead town.

strongly doubt it.. klang town is a bangla town n MOST ppl hang out in Bukit tinggi area (i vested thr ) or even Bandar Baru Klang.. Combined bkt tinggi 1 n 2 bayu tinggi n botanic have more than 2000-3000 shops with many diff biznes thr!

the north klang area frm the town near famous boston baru until meru is REALLY BAD n i avoid when i go fr seafood/bahkuteh/yc in Klang! Let's see how it turns out..

A source close to the selection process for the LRT3 project said the announcement appointing MRCB-George Kent had shocked the industry as George Kent was known to have problems in the construction of the Ampang Line LRT extension, which was completed a year later than scheduled.

"Although the company claimed that the delay was not due to them, it had still given Prasarana a poor image as the owner of the nation's LRT.

"In addition, MRCB's appointment as George Kent's partner to form a consortium to bid for the LRT project is also strange as MRCB was better known as a developer in the commercial sector and not in the transport industry," the source told The Malaysian Insider on the condition of anonymity.

According to the source, many analysts thought UEM was better equipped and experienced to build the LRT3 as it has been involved in such projects previously.

UEM is also a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional, a company wholly-owned by the government and would have a better chance at winning the bid because of its good track record in building LRT lines.
