Well, reason being 1+1 is the benchmark now, it's good to know how does the Mi3 stack up



Got a new replacement glass SP from seller as previous one just won't stick at the top corner.
But now the other top corner won't stick, confirmed no dust whatsoever.


But in the mean time, i play play with old glass SP.
after 5 minutes abuse, the SP gave up.

initially very hard to stab or scratch, but after i bend the SP until crack, then easy to stab

this is cheapo china brand, so i can only imagine what a branded high quality one can offer

went to sc fix my 3rd bath Mi3 front receiver speaker & sim card detector problem ...

foc eh siap on the spotkah?

I dislike the stock browser. It always force closes! Do you guys have any idea how to disable it as 'default' and uses chrome instead? There isn't any 'default' setting in the app info

took 1 day .. wed in , thurs collect.. the sim detector can fix on the spot ...

saw many MI3 victims , i ask the staff whether is it the bug or hardware. they told me is hardware issue -3rd batch alot this problem...

they should change the sim design buat simple like samsung or etc brand one

Usually its the gums / stickers that worries me for cheapo glass or sp. After removing glass, will the residue still be there and cause a stain. Nillkin or similarly quality branded glass SP should be adequate but Spigen or same quality gum should stick much better and supposedly leave no residue.

The thinner the glass is, the easier it is to break. I'm a bit sceptical about those 9H claim tho, I think these cheapo glass claim's should be taken with a grain of salt.

You're getting me worried, I have one with that batch at home still have no sim inserted yet.

for this budget i dont expect much , my 1st batch 1 working perfectly fine except the whatsapp robotic sound...

now i think xiaomi should focus more on quality control ..

Go to System Settings - Apps, there's a default apps button at the bottom.

So far all cheapo SP i tried, only small residue at edge due to dust.
Since most will give you alcohol swab, so clean like mad, no worries

about the hardness, i have no idea how hard is 9H,8H or what, but from my test, quite hard until it cracks.
once cracked, no hard at all

maybe can try ask SC if can courier instead

I prefer stock browser and it hardly crashes.

Anyway, back to your question, goto Setting>Apps and you will find a "Default app settings"...

Can change the browser there...

Not far lar but have to take leave to go if really got a lemon. My leave very expensive one...now pokai, cannot waste leave...
