from these screenshots,it looks like it doesnt matter how they'll be designed...we probably would only look at the action,not the design of the robots...

Yup nice picture. If you want guys want to see some CG test transformers in action head to Sector Seven Org Click to the red harddisc. You can see Grimlock (the dinosaur from G1 in action.) and other too.

Megatron looks like a cross between Guyver and a stalagmite. But the action scenes should be cool. And Peter Cullen is going to be the voice of Optimus, so it should turn out alright.

the Ironhide , Barricade, Bonecrusher and Blackout look like stuff i'd be getting. Scorponok is fugly though. i can't imagine displaying him anywhere near the G1 or BW version.

Jazz definitely looks better in Binaltech RX-8 mould.

i mean seriously, even if you don't which to use G1 looks then at least you can still use the mould on newer vehicles - just like what they did with Binaltech / Alternators line.

and even that cab for G1 OP / Magnus looks fine. same goes to StarScream, which sorta resembles an F-15.

well, at least Blackout looks nice.

I disgress. Granted, I also wished that they used Binaltech/Alternator system for the movie. But after I saw all the teaser trailers, I think this current design is best suit for them.

If Alt/Binaltech Smokescreen walks in real life, I can bet that he will fall over in no time. While Grimlock's large front bumper chest can hardly seen what's below him.

I like movie starscream, and I won't be complaining about him, as he's A starscream, not THE starscream.

LOL. and you're equating a robot with humans.

they could have sensors build around that they don't have to look at their feet. and gyros inside that help them balance.

funny how you talk about Alt / Binals toppling when fact is that if you compare them to StarScream from the movie, StarScream looks even more unstable.

heck who cares about real life - if those in the movie won't topple despite how badly they look then surely the alt / binals (similar to G1 mould) wouldn't topple either.

and i prefer a clean look for robots.

Comparing both starscream(s), MP version will topple with his feet like that, and the movie starscream at least can balance himself with his "chicken legs" along with squating.

Clean look or not, they are still transformers because they are robots in disguise.

But in the end you are right, this is "movie realism", not "real life realism".

anyway designs are subjective. can browse all over the place, some people like the new. some like the old.

i like sleek and clean look, therefore among all of them only Blackout appeals to me. the rest looks ok in vehicle mode and sux in robot mode (to me la.)

as for Scorponok, man it hought Megatron Classics was toy-like enough (toy, as in McD's Happy Meal toy) but Scorponok holds the title for good!!

IMO right now it's not about the looks of the robots, it's about how the show goes.

I am skipping scorponok, the robot mode is FUGLY. The beast mode looks so good untill it shows the bot mode, it kill my interest for him at an instant. "

ok - the show released yesterday but the last post on this thread was 3rd April : anyone seen the movie?
