Who do Michael Bay think he is? Simply create a new line of Transformers and shove it down our throat? He think he and his team damn creative issit? And Spielberg,u r getting old,u still think u r making E.T. (pls refer to Bumblebee).

Although i think the action,CGI in this movie gonna be great but i dun think i'll enjoy watching it. OH gosh,Optimus, wat happen to you? U Have Chicken Feet!!!

IMO this being the first Transformers movie, it should capture the essence of the original - the G1 transformers.

that's where the old fans are happy about and the new fans get to know the originals.

however in this case - everyone's having new bots to look at, unfortunately it's not tastefully done.

heck even if they used Binaltech / Alternator moulds would still look better, cos at least it's still based on actual Toy / Figurine units.

For all those noobs dodo that say this movie gonna sucked probably brain filled with grasses. Do you think it is wise to use the same old design in G1 cartoon again in this movie? What year is this?

LOL. and why do you think transformers like MP01 and MP03 are so expensive? to the extent MP01 once reached RM 1k++, and it's a G1 Optimus Prime.

the G1 ARE the CORE of transformers, they're the heart of the whole lineup. smile.gif when you say Transformers - who do you think of first? OPTIMUS PRIME G1!!!

yup. in fact the old look is more simple and easier to appreciate.

heck that silly OP has more nooks and crannies than Alien.

it's really dumb. really really really dumb.

i was thinking they might consider using Binaltech moulds instead of the G1 moulds for some characters, like smokescreen for example. biggrin.gif but no matter how OP and Bumblebee MUST REMAIN!!!! tongue.gif and yeah, Megatron and StarScream too.

Actually Bay was just hired to direct the film It's the producers, Tom DeSanto responsible for the "reimagining" of the machines.

If it wasn't because of the Iraq war, we'd be watching GIJOE instead of Transformers.

Yup. We all grew with the original Transformers. It's OK but still, we appreciate the original design more. Thank God that they didn't change the Autobot and Decepticon logo. Otherwise sure there's gonna be series of suicidal attempts by hard core fans..

The new transformers look is a lot better guys, but it is a little too complicated the design, makes people hard to remember which one is which. Guys, I dont think the old Optimus Prime or Megatron look would fit in a 2006 transformers movie, because the old school look is too cartoonish and would make the movie unrealistic, it would be even more of a joke. Cuz the old design is from the 1980s.

No..I think the old look would fit perfectly. The look in Transformers the Movie (the cartoon)that is. If they didnt want to use megatron they could use galvatron.
Italy ban size 0 models but here they promote anorexic models... sheesh

Well, relax lah, maybe the movie won't turn out to be that bad leh, Michael Bay is famous for his work, I wouldn't think this movie will suck like The Hulk. OP might look different but hey, it's going to be 2007 soon, takkan use back the old TF G1 models meh? No offence, I'm a TF fan but some changes here and there are fine with me as long as the storyline remains faithful to the original cartoon. So lets just wait for the movie to hit the cinemas first before we start to comment on anything lor. icon_rolleyes.gif

some changes are fine with me too, after all, this is normal..not everything will stay the same 20 years down the road.
things like making optimus's gun part of his arm, that i can take..
it wouldnt be realistic having him conjure up his gun one minute, and have it vanish the next! laugh.gif

but these changes....are so drastic! sweat.gif
