Just received my H3C from Citylink, but for some reason my SIM card cant fit into the slot

Walao dont tell me I paid RM499 for a phone that cannot put SIM card inside

You must be using those ancient full sim card - just change it to the smaller micro simcard at your telco. Or you can even cut it down to size with a microsim cutter at any phone dealer outlets . You might need to pay at least RM5 for their service

I memang retard, my SIM card so old and ancient already of course must go and potong.

Oh well, in the meantime I'll just download all my apps and setup my H3C first

After a week use kitkat beta, I've reverted back to B115.
The ROM is ok for daily use but 2 things that always bothered me :-
- sensor not sensitive. after end a call, sometime the screen still blank so unable to end call.
- call/sms blocker not working. still receive unwanted sms that has been blocked.

So today I dload B115 and use "dload folder" method.
Surprisingly above also re-lock the bootloader coz my previous TWRP has been replaced with stock recovery (no need to use flash_tool)

read that kk beta some users having problems on 3G..really? Seems flashing back stock rom also will reflash stock recovery.. not too sure on bootloader tho


also, for some reason, my friend's messed up his h3c..sent to warranty and huawei just take it exchange, not much question asked..guess he's lucky..

Told ya already it's not recommended for daily use, strictly for testing purpose only.
You have wrong understanding about locked bootloader.
I have clearly stated the ONLY way to relock the bootloader is by flashing the signed images.


Yes correct, flashing the ROM image will reload all system related files including boot image and recovery.
As for the signal problem, yes we are facing some difficulty to get IMEIs back working when returning to B108 or factory dumped stock.

Which mean updating to unofficial KK might be a one way trip as you might never be able to revert back to locked bootloader again, or more correctly, you can revert but will not get a fully functioning device as call related functions will be lost, but don't get confused, you will still be able to revert back to fully functioning official JB 4.2.2 B1XX ROM, just not the one with/from locked BL ROM.

Amin & i are still working on this issue and hopefully we can find a solution, but the chance are low.
It's hard to work on this as there is no official documentation available or any reference we can use.

Yup but ok la 1 week testing, just minor hiccups only...

What u mean by diff to get IMEI back ? I've done nothing for mine after load B115...
1st hp start both IMEI aldy there... No additional fix needed...
And I've tested place/receive a call, so far so good, no issue...

So for time being there's no way to test lock/unlock bootloader (unless flash_tool TWRP and see whether hit bootloop or not)

After conducted some camera apps comparison, just realize that honor3c stock camera app produces softer (less sharpness) and less vivid picture, although the picture looks smoother (good for portrait shot) but results to details lost (bad for scenery shot).

Google Play has tons of camera app and i couldn't test it all, so I have selected some top paid apps to compare. Hope this comparison could help users here to get a good alternative camera app. Well the difference of image quality of all these apps are negligible (based on auto mode and best quality setting), so user should choose the camera app based on their preference on GUI and features.

Use Cymera is the best to me

I'm using Snap Camera

under settings > security > screen lock , we have 5 options to set the screen lock
i'm using huawei unlock coz lazy to keyin pattern/pin/pwd
can we add other unlock option like attached unlock screen

for me i'm using camerazoom (got it for $0.10) last time.. lol.. produce sharper images than the stock h3c camera tho

Just share a theme to you all if you find the stock theme too boring and online theme not nice

Instruction: download the file and copy into "HWThemes" folder with file manager, apply the theme in "Themes".

btw, it's also possible to change the font without rooting your phone. Just throw the font into the theme will do.

how about the lock screen ?

remain the same, just different wallpaper.

if you want to change other lock screen, search and download other theme file that has different lock screen.
