I've never heard carmakers doing overhaul or rebuild under warranty unless something seriously wrong with the engine such as piston crack.

Macamla Honda gonna dismantle your engine because you suspect got sludge buildup, other than the sludge caused serious damage like in Proton CFE's case (that one really mempersiasuikan, even BorgWarner also no eye see).

i was told to service 10k in dec2014 but i told them i think i'll only reach 10k in may2015. then they said if you come in may2015 then sorry, no warranty claims then.

i did not follow the duration but i chosed to follow the odometer. they were ok with it.

i did ask them many many times that i'm gonna follow the odometer, service every 10k. they said fine can. no problem.

luckily i did not have any warranty claims.

When car no problem ma OK lor. If got major enjin problem then they will point at the service manual and say you didn't follow service schedule therefore warranty gg
