NICE!
I'm applying loan for Manual Preve.
But now wondering white or silver better....
The silver act doesn't have so much metalic feel right?
*
It's more gloss instead of metallic feel.

My Loan was approved yesterday, waiting to collect my car next week also. biggrin.gif

Dear Sifi Here,

Now planning for
1. Engine break in - Which approach better?
2. Windows tinted? any recommendation? How about the new law, seem no update already?
3. HU with reverse camera? Is it necessary, I heard that the reverse senor and view of preve is not good enough.

Thanks.
*
Reverse sensor - continuous beep within 30cm+- from obstacle, to me that's good enough

You can change the seat under warranty. I did mine for less than two weeks after the SC ordered the parts, installation only took 2 hours.

I think if you go to COSE or the one at glenmarie maybe they can change them right away smile.gif

Cheerio.

Just go and claim warranty for new seats if you have those problems reported
My wife's Preve only issue we faced was some creaking noise at back in week one. The service center rectified it within an hour. Till now already 9 months no more such issue
*
Yeah, your car may have problems but nothing major and doesn't affect the reliability and security. Just get it fixed at SC. Proton is improving, but the QC must be improved a lot.

i think if they open their claim dept on saturday already a major improvement d.
*
Well, it's understandable that they don't due to the sheer number of cars that they need to do service on Saturday. I too would not prefer they rush to replace or install parts on my car in hurry. I rather let them have a more relaxing time on weekdays to do so.

Try using some IPA on the plastics. If that doesn't work, plastic trim polish like the Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer may help.
*
Haha wax + textured dashboard like Preve is totally a no-no.

Anyone encounter before yea?

The car very hard to start up. The Rpm will move up and down continuously, and at last cut off itself.

This always happen to me whenever I get myself to a short break like 15 to 20 minute lunch. It happen quite frequent. Any solution from u guys yea?
*
Experienced before, until I discovered that I started the engine in the 'wrong' way (as found in the manual). I used these steps instead, and no more problems in starting the car.

1. Insert key fob.
2. Press Start button once (now in AC mode).
3. Press Start button another time (now in On mode).
<Now you can hear the valves opening and fuel being pumped, wait until finish>
4. Press and hold brake peddle.
5. Press Start button again.

For those who mention the correct way of starting the Preve CFE, personally I never bothered. I press suka hati only. laugh.gif

A lot of times the engine cranked up the way it shouldn't. Sometimes it even failed to start after a long ignition.

The warranty issue really worried me. It seem like little modification will void it. Wondering the 5 years warranty is good or bad
*
Other car manufacturers play safe with warranty too. Even changing the wheels, or installing skirting void the warranty by right.

Seems like the production still hasn't fixed the problems. I too received my car with some problems, noticeably the grinding sound from the back and the driver and front passenger seats.

But, like you can always occasionally read in this thread, these problems can be fixed at SC, just set an appointment. Yeah it's a hassle, but you should pretty much know that Proton is still struggling with the QC department biggrin.gif

The bigger chassis really helps biggrin.gif It's OK, you can legally crank up the cops CFE and go nice and easy with your own exec laugh.gif

found some Preve Premium model on the road is stated "TURBO" instead of "CFE", anyone knows the different???
*
No difference. I prefer CFE more, it has more characters than just the generic turbo.

I'm personally using synthium 3000. If u can afford I would suggest u to go for it. My 10K service SC used syn800 and during 20K service I insisted on using syn 3000, can actually feel the difference in daily driving.
*
You should use Syn5k, I've been using it for all services (except for the first 1k service) biggrin.gif
