I haven't bought yet. What is open jaw? laugh.gif My friend also suggests me to go back from Osaka.
Thanks and reading some of the posts here makes me scared, so strict one. laugh.gif
I have so many things in my mind now, I'm excited to go but at the same time worried because I'll be alone most of the time and I don't understand Japanese. rclxub.gif
That kind of feeling really demotivates me. cry.gif

No worries, a lot of us (i believe) hv minimal or zero in Japanese but still survive n most importantly enjoyed so much n wanting to go back. So I'm sure u'll experience the same too, just do some research, ask around n u'll b fine smile.gif

Hope it's not too complicated for me to buy from the machine. rclxub.gif

Thanks. I read from Google that I buy the Free pass first then go to the Romancecar ticket centre to top up for 890 yen (some said 870 yen). I can choose seat at that counter when I buy ticket? That's also possible right?
*
I think all of those can be done at the service center, cuz last time i only bought normal hokone pass. But no worries the staff there are very nice as they will explain all the sightseeing places and would recommend few nice place based on our liking.

QUOTE(skylinegear @ Jan 13 2015, 04:10 PM)
day 1
Kinkakuji, arashiyama, nishiki market, fushimi inari
day 2
Kiyomizudera, travel to Osaka, Tenjimbashisuji arcade, shinsaibashi arcade
day 3
USJ, dotombori arcade
day 4
Kuromon ichiba market, Osaka castle, Osaka aquarium, den den town
day 5
Travel to Tokyo, meiji shrine, Shinjuku park, shibuya 109
day 6
hakone
day 7
Gotemba Premium Outlet, Akihabara, Sensoji
day 8
Tsujiki market, Tokyo tower, obaida
day 9
disneysea

is this alright?
1. is day 1 too heavy?
yup...
day 1: morning arashiyama, noon kinkakuji, kiyomizu, nite nishiki + gion (nxt door only)
day 2: morning fushimi inari, then travel to osaka

if u look at kyoto map, it would be bit more strategic this way.
another option is to try get accommodation around higashiyama or gion
this would safe time to visit place like kiyomizu and nishiki

2. big lockers for luggage will be available in train station like Shibuya?

might alter my itinerary to your suggestion
i'm staying in shijo (near nishiki market)

nishiki market close at 6pm?
*
no worries...

morning: arashiyama, the place is huge with alot things too see.
noon: kinkakuji, nothing much less than 1 hour can finish the tour there. then nishiki market n u can hv lunch there too. then proceed to kiyomizu, the place is quite huge depending on how much u want to cover 1-2hrs.
nite: after kyomizu i think u can take sweet time walking back to hotel. u can pass by gion n dinner around kamiyochi.

Takayama and Shirakawa-go..
The scenery there is just breathless, like out of a story book.
We also had open air bath onsen....damn perfect soaking in hotspring while watching the snow falling down and with the cool air......

another question, after bought the pass, still need to "Exchange" pass to ticket?
the pass is ur ticket. just insert the pass like normal ticket into the ticket machine.
the ticket will come out after u exit certain location n once expired the ticket machine will reject ur ticket.
if that answer ur question?
