QUOTE(liewchengyeh @ Oct 7 2014, 07:51 AM) i'm a travel NOOB... i survive with 3 words arigato, sumimasen, gomenasai hahaha (never been to oversea.... been to indonesia, but i don't think that count as oversea) anyway, any good place to recommend for a non-japanese (only know some basic vocab, less then 50 words) speaker... do you guys think, -it's better to bring a japanese speaker OR -can we just got by with a pocket translator(i heard there's a few book shop in the airport selling those, and quite cheap) or google translate (need a working internet plan in japan, not always reliable) wat i did, if not sure direction i'll write it down the address just in case will ask them for direction, normally ask younger ones they'll normally search using their phone n show u the direction from their phone other than that tourist places, trains n makan places mostly got english if u know 50 words, im sure can explore places most of us not know hehehhe so no worries just enjoy, language is nvr a problem. unless u really want to try out ur japanese wit them This post has been edited by JooSeng: Oct 7 2014, 10:17 AM |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 8 2014, 05:33 PM) Because water was so hot. 42 celcius to 50 celcius. If you stay in water more than 10 minute. Your skin will burn. Your "Telur" will masak. Most worst, you will die. Hot waTer will cause ur blood pressure into head. Too much pressure in head then burst. That call Stroke One of most important Onsen rulez.......never never ever soak your self into Onsen. Max just reach ur neck. QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 8 2014, 05:37 PM) How hot was 42 celcius? First get a termometer at pharmacy. Boil a water, once reach 42 then put your hand into water. Feel the power..... WTF....y so hot one So 10 minute izzit enough? i thot something like our spa in KL erm...man i travel so far from tokyo just for 10min need to find out wat else ppl do at onsen |

Hi Guys
Where is the best place to stay as a base to explore gunma with jr kanto 3 day pass. The problem with gunma is alot place not accessible to train, so u need to take bus n sometimes taxi n some places maybe a bit distance from the nearest JR station. I'd checkout a few place mainly naganohara and takasaki cuz both is nearby to JR station, n seems ok. In i've shortlisted manza cuz the view there seems awesome n the hotel rate there is cheaper compare to kusatsu. So i hope someone can share their experience n best possible option explore gunma's nature. Thanks JS This post has been edited by JooSeng: Oct 31 2014, 10:17 AM |

QUOTE(michlove @ Nov 5 2014, 01:35 PM) hi all...i'm still choosing between these two hotels in Kyoto : The best way for sightseeing around kyoto would be bus with their one day pass, so kyoto tower would be the choice cuz is just opposite kyoto station. As for mystays shijo is nearby nishiki market, which is nice for food hunting.1. Mystays Shijo 2. Kyoto Tower Which one would be more convenient in terms of going sightseeing? |

QUOTE(michlove @ Nov 5 2014, 01:56 PM) just a suggestion, for sightseeing at kyoto:~ day 1: start from kiyomizu n walk until ginkaku. u'll pass thru nanzen temple, philosopher path n etc. then take bus n finish of at kinkaku ~ day 2: arashiyama n take the train to fushimi inari should cover all main place in kyoto within ample time unless u have better idea This post has been edited by JooSeng: Nov 5 2014, 02:11 PM |
