Hey all, I am trying to make custom ringtones. But when I download into the Ringtone folder and browse it when I want to change in the theme/setting, cannot detect the files? Happen to a few MP3. What happened ah?

You using dev rom right? Is that true camera performance/quality improve with dev rom(kit kat)?
Any idea when the next update for stable rom? I hope they update before releasing new phone.

Filename is in Chinese characters? If Chinese characters, then it won't find if I'm not mistaken.

I think drop calls I have encounter before on stable Malaysia ROM but not this severe. I think the China ROM is totally on another level.

For example, I initiate a call to my client. Half way through, it disconnect and network loss signal. Then it found signal and client calling back was instantly disconnect after one ring. Loss signal again and on back. This time I call again and as soon as my client pick up, it disconnect. Very very strange.

Still happening now even after clearing APN. Now I tried clear cache in recovery.

ya i using dev rom since day 1
i only use 1 hour on stable rom

Another issue is the music file size, if it is smaller than the preset limit then music player would treat it as some notification sounds, which will not be displayed, just go & set the limit lower.

Never experienced call problems when I was on MY rom, started to have drop call using stable China kitkat rom. Now I'm back to MY rom. Will update tomorrow after some use. Maxis user also.

Guy, where can download miui developer rom for kitkat? Can i have a link?

I think I will wipe and flash Dev ROM. Really love the update along with Google camera.

Update: On second thought, update to Dev rom no need wipe. So just upgrade again for me. If still persist, then only wipe and downgrade.

So for did not encounter any serious issue using MY rom ... hopefully the update to kitkat for MY rom would be stable.

Such a pain to get back the MY rom need to flash with PC using mi tool first with stable JB China rom than only recovery flash the MY rom. Haih! If going to dev rom on kitkat maybe no need but I doubt can solve the call problem. So play if safe MY rom for me.

any more complaints from this thread, i'll move it again to kopitiam.

guys, my Maxis plan is postpaid and without any data plan. Just wanna ask u guys if my setting is ok, scared it will use my data and later Maxis charge me. paranoid dy, just now maxis sms me said I reach RM216.

So I went to Security (app) > Data Usage > Restrict

For this part, i
1) disabled all data for downloaded apps
2) disabled all data for apps
3) disabled data for default settings for new apps. (setting icon top right)

Then I went to Security (app) > Data Usage > setting icon (top right)

For this part, i
1) Mobile data limit > Peak data limit being set to 1.00b.
2) Set data usage > didn't make changes to it
3) Restrict peak data usage > on
4) Allow background data > off



for this month this is my usage. duno why maxis send me the sms saying I used RM216.

any1 here without data plan? care to share how to make sure any apps dun suck up data in the background?

setting > mobile networks > data enabled (off) /data roaming (off)

Or else use Hotlink get free basic internet. Its more than enough for Whatsapp, and able to auto-update apps.

Last but not use use SurfMore plan, supplementary plan only RM30/month like what im using.
I rarely make calls/sms.
