QUOTE(Jebsee @ Jul 6 2014, 03:46 PM) Nah most of gadget freaks dont care about warranty though ,as long as they own the the device earlier than others, you got money you get it,no money no talks thats it haha oops just back to the topic Not true, most gadget kaki also buy and sell and change phones every month, of course they care otherwise the phones will have no 2nd hand value. Unless the price difference is so great like 50% discount it makes it worthwhile to order online. Btw, Paranoid Android 4.4.4 is running very stable so far compared to CM11s. Has Hover notification which is something extra from CM11. CM11s has some random reboot issues similar to what has been reported online. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Jul 6 2014, 03:52 PM

QUOTE(Xirality @ Jul 7 2014, 11:03 PM) SOT how long? Greenify definitely help. CM11S easy to root? just use ADB? CM11s between 4-5 hours including regular gaming. I think without gaming will be 5-6 hours.

QUOTE(blibala @ Jul 8 2014, 02:18 AM) DirectD latest 16gb RM1199. 64gb RM1499. Price dropped so fast. Excellent Well as expected.. Last time Xiaomi Mi3 also RM1200+ now RM700+, HTC M8 RM2500 now RM1900+, LG G3 2600 now RM1900+ all within a few weeks. Mi3 took few months to drop so much. Do note you're buying technology that goes outdated the moment you buy them so it always go down in price, you are not buying property or gold. ok lah.. depends on usage. For me anything since Snapdragon 600 with proper optimisation feels the same. Actually most phones are overspeced but software haven't cought up with it. I won't call it a beast, at the most on par with most of the flagships around. Perhaps if a new Nexus is launched this year, it would be using the specs in Oneplus One.
My definition of a beast would be something so great and powerful that it belittles it's competition. Being on par doesn't qualify as a beast, merely value for money based on the selling price. Maybe if the rest is MTK 800Mhz Single Core 256MB Memory then this would be considered as a beast.

Early adopters always like that I'm waiting for g3 to drop some more.. I think HTC One m8 may still hold a high price due to HTC price control.

QUOTE(Chyan @ Jul 8 2014, 05:22 AM) Took me by surprise really. +1 I have another month to go and if it goes down by 10% or more that would hit the sweet spot for me though I think at this price, it's reasonable enough (64GB). Too many similarly performing devices these days it's hard to choose. Small details is all that matters. I'd be mulling over N5 or this for the past month and I think it's a wiser choice to get OPO due to lesser drawbacks. It's about time for me to retire my Gnex amidst the failing battery, performance and hairline screen crack too. Yes since prices on par with Nexus 5 and Cm Nightly also very updated, a wise choice unless u prefer smaller form factor.

Oh well.. Good for owners lah since their 2nd hand value still high. Only bad for new buyers because 1 year plus outdated phone still selling for RM1.6k.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Jul 8 2014, 10:07 AM) Anyone here trade in your device at Directd for OPO? Don't bother, the trade in price is super low. I once bought a few weeks old Vibe X at RM1k they only offered RM500. Most phones will be 50% of current prices eg. If your HTC M8 is RM2k you trade in only RM1k.

QUOTE(Gurvin Abruzzi @ Jul 8 2014, 11:04 AM) $299 *2.37 = RM977. Rm1200 - RM980= Rm220, just say shipping Rm20, Profit RM200 la. Not possible to get 299 USD in any china retail shops, unless you have invites or go through their supply chain. It's likely the retail shops in China get it for 299 and then sell for USD$390 as you notice in Aliexpress and many other websites. The 299/349 price is actually non-existant unless the the minimal invites that were given out.

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jul 8 2014, 11:22 AM) Personalization. I once use white carbon fibre skin on my black N5, because it's unique   . All depends on personal taste. China OPO sell at RMB 1999.99 for 16GB and RMB 2299.99 for 64GB ( official website price ) Yes, China OPO sell to retail shop, then retail shop sell to others also need to earn mah...There's 2 layers of markups included, not to mention the 3rd layer when shops like Directd brings them in to sell to you. Actually I know the supplier for the shops, they only earn RM50 from the cost and this includes local warranty. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Jul 8 2014, 11:28 AM

Yes, not to mention if anything goes wrong they need to send via airmail to China for replacement, not possible by sea freight as it will take more than a month and if China sends by sea mail that's another month excluding custom delays, and all the customers will be screaming down their necks lol

QUOTE(hirota @ Jul 8 2014, 11:40 AM) china oneplus official site now can que to buy, rmb2300 for 64gb assuming they can get the rate 1.90 so is around RM1210 plus shipping RM40 so total rm1250. rm1499 - rm1250 = rm250 profit but u have to provide post sale service. China OPO can't sell direct to Malaysia lah and even if you order online you can order limited units only similar to Xiaomi style. Takkan they hire 100 workers in China to order stocks every week?
